I needed to look good and feel confident for a business engagement and Bobbe Jo was amazing! Not only did I receive numerous compliments that night, I felt fantastic and conveyed the right amount of confidence! A complete success! I will be returning for a lesson because I never looked that good on my own!

Bobbe is by far the best brow specialist in Los Angeles. Her shaping is amazing, thick, and knows how to compliment the face. Not only that, but her makeup application and line of products are flawless and extremely user-​friendly.

Bobbe is the most talented makeup artist in the world. She first did my makeup for my bridal shower and I got so many compliments. I had her do my makeup for my wedding day and I had never felt so beautiful. She doesn’t overdue the makeup and she highlights the most attractive features on your face. She just did my makeup for my baby shower. There is no one else I would ever have do my makeup but her. She also does my eyebrows which have never looked better. Bobbe Joy is a pro. Her products are the best around. She shaped my brows to the point that it changed my entire face– by enhancing my best features. She is extraordinary at make up application as well. I have seen many women swear by her make up lessons and come to her before big events or just for a night out on the town. As a person, Bobbe is more like a best friend or therapist, someone who remembers you and your life so its like visiting an old friend when you go to see her. This is one of the best make up studios in LA. I’m a photographer and I sent one of my clients there for a make over and brow shaping. She looked incredible. We also found Bobbe Joy to be very down to Earth and friendly with a great style. I plan to refer more of my clients to her salon.

I went to Bobbe today to have my brows done. I gotta say, I love how they came out! I had been growing them out for 3−4weeks and even cut myself some bangs so I could hide them as they grew out. :) Bobbe was excited to see that I had a lot of brow hair to work with and she let me hold a mirror up as she gave me «Brow 101» on how to shape my own brows. She was very nice and informative and her daughter and granddaughter came in towards the end of my appointment. Her granddaughter was our «little helper» for the rest of the appointment, fetching pencils and q-​tips as needed. The service was great and my brows turned out better than I thought they would. I have an appointment in 7 weeks to finish shaping my brows since I still have spots that need to grow in a little.
Finding the place was a little harder because it’s on a 1 way street, so you can’t exactly turn around if you think you passed it (If you hit Saks, you’ve gone too far). I parked on Bedford and took the elevator up to ground level. Bobbe’s studio is on the left side of the street and is located in Nelson J Salon which is not visible from the main street. Be sure to give yourself plenty of time to get to the salon if you scout for parking that is not valet. I was 15 minutes late to my appointment (Oops!) but it wasn’t a problem. :)

Bobbe Joy Brows is a great one stop shop! I love all the makeup they carry as well as how my brows look when I walk out of there! Tthe whole energy of the place just makes you feel beautiful. I like that i can trust someone with my brows and know that they do what is the MOST flattering for my face without even having to ask. I have told all my friends, you will too!

I have blond hair and my eyebrows & eyelashes are and always have been very very dark. I needed them to be lightened by 2 shades, but not with bleach (turns orange), just tinted slightly lighter. I called EVERY brow place of note in the city and everyone told me they would bleach them.. .and then I called Bobbe’s studio and they did it no problem. They were very accommodating and the tint job was $ 20. Not bad, except that I hate parking around Beverly Drive, and going to Beverly Hills.

Very good brow shaping, but a bit steep on the price.
I don’t remember who I had but it wasn’t Bobbe herself. The girl was was very sweet and skilled with the tweezers.
I think I just prefer waxing (with Kim at Pro Nails in Pico Rivera!). It’s cheaper, faster, and the arch just comes out cleaner. for 8 bucks.

I’ve been going to Bobbe Joy Makeup Studio for over 5 years and let me tell you: this is the BEST place to get your eyebrows shaped and makeup done in LA! I’ve been to Anastasia, Valerie, and the Kevin Josephson Salon and they DO NOT COMPARE.
From the professional, trained staff to the family friendly atmosphere (hey, sometimes I gotta drag the kids along with me!) the staff has always delivered A+++ service.
Natalie always does my brow shaping — they only tweeze there — and each time she finishes and shows me the mirror I am blown away by what a difference the shape makes for my face. It’s like an instant face lift, and makes me look skinnier. How does THAT happen?!? No idea! I also love that she doesn’t tweeze them to within an inch of their life! Fuller eyebrows are the thing here, but they never look bushy.
Bobbe and Liz alternate doing my make up applications and they both have a fresh, youthful perspective so I always end up looking SO GOOD! I’ve also done a make up lesson with Bobbe herself. She was patient and taught me techniques I never knew about and she never made me feel stupid for not knowing certain basic techniques or even not knowing how to distinguish my lid from my brow (if you don’t know what I mean — visit them, they’ll tell you!) They even sent me home with a picture of a face colored in with my colors and directions so i could re create it at home. USEFUL, let me tell you!
As you can tell, I adore it there and will continue to be a loyal customer. Go once and you’ll see why I am making such a fuss! :)

Wow, so many great things to say about Bobbe and her shop I don’t know where to start.
I guess I’ll start with her brow shaping:
Best brow shaper, period. Although I’ve only been to Bobbe for my brows, I’ve seen her other artists at work and they all look fantastic. She fits your brows to you face (read: no super skinny brows or overly bushy ones) and she can make a perfect arch out of a straight, flat and all around blah brow.
Makeup:
Make-​up lesson and application is well worth it. It’s an hour long and she takes you through all the steps to apply makeup like a pro. I suggest scheduling one before a night out as you get two looks with the lesson: day and then night. *Bonus: her makeup is of great quality. I have extremely sensitive skin and I have never once had a break out related to using one of her products. Additionally, if you bring in any discontinued makeup from another company she can match it for you!
Also worth mentioning is the eyelash tinting. They do a great job and there’s no risk of going blind from the dye.
