AdvanceLipo is a simple and minimally invasive procedure. A local anesthetic is used in the areas to be treated and fat is liquified and then removed via a small incision site. Scarring is virtually eliminated and no stitches are used. Compared to traditional liposuction, swelling and bruising is lessened and the areas treated are smoothed and tightened. In fact, many of our patients rave that it is virtually painless and because general anesthesia is not used, recovery time is faster and down time is minimized.

Dr. Calhoun was a Board Certified Emergency Medicine Physician for 10 years and is a member of the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery and American Society of Liposuction Surgery. Dr. Calhoun obtained his medical degree from the prestigious UCLA/​Drew School of Medicine. Dr. Calhoun has performed thousands of procedures over the last 7 years and his top priority is always obtaining optimal results for each patient coupled with superior customer service.

Dr. Calhoun is a model physician, maintaining memberships in many prominent organizations including the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgeons, the American Society for Laser Medicine and Surgery and The International Society of Cosmetic Laser Surgeons. Dr. Calhoun opened clinics in La Jolla and Los Angeles with the mission of providing minimally invasive cosmetic procedures in a comfortable and convenient setting.
