It is fantastic place for authentic Chinese food. We are Chinese family living in the valley for over a decade and this is the best place. I can take my whole family to the place and everybody will find dishes they enjoy. And the size of serving for each dish is very generous as well. We will go back again and again.

This is a fantastic place for authentic Chinese. We were fortunate enough to have one of the owners, Zheng, wait on our table. We had several appetizer selections and all were outstanding. Hubby chose a whole fish entrée that he cannot stop talking about. I cannot express how much the staff were helping with choosing our selections and guiding us with how to eat them. Will definitely be back!

My friend had been raving about this place since it opened. Finally went with him — he was right. As others wrote, it is easy to miss. The inside is simple(but in a good way). I loved the fact that the tables didn’t have the usual soy, hot mustard, etc. on the tables(the food doesn’t need it). The menu isn’t the usual strip mall Chinese one; it has a large variety of(what I assume to be) authentic dishes. We had the pork liver and Szechwan boiled beef dishes. These were excellent. But as good as they were, the appetizers were even better: lamb skewers and beef skewers(spiced, of course). The staff was friendly and perfectly efficient. We brought our own beer. It was a fantastic experience.

This place is so fantastic, you will never go back to Chinese take out restaurant food again! We had the Mala Chicken appetizer to start, a shredded chicken with peanuts and a peanut sauce to die for! Then we had the grilled lamb and squid skewers that were so well spiced and delicious. For a main course we had the Ma La Dry Hot Pot which was incredible. And we ended with a Braised Pork Rib entrée with white rice — that was my favorite. This is a must place to visit ! BYOB and enjoy!

Just a wonderful surprise! It’s an easy place to miss, with its nondescript exterior. Even once inside it spartan design is underwhelming… but then you look at the menu, and its epic. Yes all those comfort foods you grew up with are there, but so are great traditional dishes. All prepared fantastically well for great prices. And, shhh, possibly the best secret in the LV… there is a Vietnamese soup on the menu?! What, a Vietnamese soup in a Chinese place… what is this… IT’S PHO. One of the best Phos I’ve ever had. Just a wonderful surprise. Southside Bethlehem has another gem in U & Tea!

Recipes are very authentic, ingredients fresh and prices reasonable. Food is delicious and this is easily the best Chinese restaurant in the area, probably the best one I’ve seen short of going into a major city.

Loved everything. Had the ma la dry hot pot with beef and pork(belly) which came with a variety of vegetables. Different and very tasty. I have eaten in ny sf and China. This was right up there. Also had vegetable ho fun(wide noodles) also very tasty. The mala chicken was again tasty but I would have pegged it as middle eastern. Service was a bit amateur ish but very friendly. Cheap

If you’re in the kitchen making mashed potatoes for your mother and then she tells you that there’s a new authentic Chinese restaurant in town next door to «the place you get beer and wings,» well you might think she had gotten some of those details wrong. There’s metered parking all up and along the street but don’t expect a private lot or any sort of free parking. With that being said it’s within walking distance of Lehigh and I have every intention of doing some takeout at some point. The restaurant itself is clean, brightly lit, accepts credit cards, and we experienced no problems with service, water refills, etc. We ordered a bowl of noodles with spareribs and a mala dry hot pot. I’m sure that everyone and their mother has tried hot pot at some chic city restaurant by now but the Sichuan variety of hot pot is known for not having the soup(thus«dry»), which thankfully releases you from the responsibility of having to keep a pot of water boiling on the table and continually cooking your own food(which always seemed like work to me). The portion size is more then enough for two people and at $ 12.95 it’s a practical(if not particularly fancy) lunch meal. If you are like me in thinking that this kind of Chinese food is evaluated in binary terms of «it goes well with rice» or «it was bland and made me sad,» it’s definitely one that made me ask for a rice bowl refill. I consider this top notch authentic Chinese dining for the area. I just wish it was located in a much more accessible area. But I guess it makes sense that they’d depend on the foot traffic from the university. I’ll be back to try the short rib, clay pot rice, and the other spicier food. Disclaimer: I do not enjoy bubble tea so you’ll have to ask someone else about what they think about this joint’s sweet drinks.
