Great second hand shop. Found some of my favs in here. Prices are reasonable. Staff is friendly. Selection is always fresh and tasteful.

This place was an honest waste of my time. I drove over 2 hours round trip with my one year old in tow and wasted my time, money and gas to leave with my entire bag in my hand.
The website specifically says we buy clothes, yet it seems they try to push you to consign and if you don’t you get turned with everything you took for them to sell.
I had a bag full of J Crew pants, capris and shorts in excellent condition. Apparently, those clothes weren’t good enough and don’t sell so they couldn’t take them. I CALL BULLSHIT ON THIS PLACE.
How do shorts and capris not sell in the summer???
I’m sure they advertise to buy, in hopes that you will walk in and buy something from them.
They show a video on how selective they are with picking clothes, yet 4 of the shirts I liked had huge stains on them and were awfully wrinkled.
You’ll get better quality at a Salvatioin Army Thrift Store.
On top of that there are laws and regulations on stores being handicap accessible. The front step is so HUGE that a stranger had to help me into the store with my stroller because there was absolutely no way I could do it on my own. I can’t imagine how a person in a wheelchair would get into this store. Something seriously needs to be done about that! I’m sure an inspector could easily correct that problem.

My experience here was horrible and I hope no one else has to go through what I did today.
There is nothing worse than owners and employees who greet you and send you off with a smile on their face, yet offer horrible customer service and false advertisement on their website, which specifically says we buy clothes from the last two seasons. I’m still trying to figure out what that means because I don’t think they know themselves.
Never again!!!

Fake bags everywhere. They have items hanging around that are «Gucci» «Fendi» that can easily be stolen … Why? Bc they aren’t authentic so they could give the least shit about it. The prices are the same as the authentic items. But !!! They had nice clothing if you dig. :) I found some good items. Shoes are busted up but if you can work miracles then I suggest buying them and fixing them up. They had cute little accessories. Dressing rooms are in an awkward spot. Lady opened the door and hit me in the back and Had the nerve to say «Why the fuck are you standing in front of my door»? … Lol funny right… And I was like «Fuck you»… And that was my experience.

Great clothes and discounts. I am 50 years old and found some nice tops and jewelry.

I love shopping at The Attic, and I love bringing things I don’t want or need there. What could be better?

I love shopping at the attic because I found so much clothes that I can wear and try on. I’ll come back again. The staff are so helpful.

Love this store! Always find some great items. All different price points and brands. Not sure about the negative reviews for them. Just because you don’t find something that suits your needs doesn’t mean the store deserves a bad review. Just saying.

I always check here before going to any other store. All their clothing is in great-​almost new condition. Large selection of jewelry and accessories to complete any outfit you discover there

I love the Attic, it’s where I go whenever I need a new outfit for any occasion and any price range! They have everything from fun dollar bins to go thru up to super high-​end brand names for great prices. The staff is so friendly and helpful too. The Attic is different from other consignment or thrift stores, it’s always fashionable, affordable, and fun too! I recommened bringing a bag to sell when you shop around because you may get more than half back in store credit!

The Attic has a good reputation for being selective in the items it chooses to sell-​whether on consignment or not. It’s my first stop when I’m looking for any pre-​owned items that will be unique and in good condition!

Well organized — it’s easy to find your size. I like not having to dig through racks. Would like to see more quality, high end stuff. I have found some good scores but last time felt I saw too much kohls and old navy tags.
I appreciate the men’s section. Accessories are great, too!

Like most consignment and used clothing stores it’s really a hit or miss. This was only my second time stopping in p, it seems to be they recently started dabbling in what I would describe and low end designers. Ie coach fossil etc. you of course have to dig around to find some goodies, but might be worth the dig.
I can’t comment in selling as I never have tried, I do know they seem to have a fair system in place for this.

If you’re feeling nostalgic for your worn out clothes from early 2000, this is the place to find them. Not much in stock in general and what was there was more than I would have paid for new clothes. Very disappointing.

They really need to train their buyers better, they’re a detriment to the store.

The quality of the store is equal parts management and equal parts the area it resides in. Locals don’t want to pay enough for things (which leaves the price range in an odd place and the store empty) and often resell blatant crap! I’ve seen some arguments with sellers. Some of them wrong– some of them right. I feel like theres hardly anything worth while on the racks though, even with weeks in between visits.
The buyers are totally inconsistent– even with a few days between buying. Maybe the store is broke or their just getting lazy? Of course this only applies to some of the employees. I’ve also had many great encounters with employees here too. There’s a red head that works there that always seemed miserable! watch out! She’s probably underpaid or constantly menstruating…
The troubles may have something to do with the management of the store. I often find that if the core of a business isn’t well kept and consistent, as well as a reasonable pay– your employees will not give two shits. And with poor pay you may get young bratty workers who don’t care if they have a job or not and people that may just be sick of low pay. Shouldn’t small businesses be investing in gem employees? I think they’re wasting time and money constantly training people who don’t have any clue what they’re doing.
If you’re looking for modern clothing thats priced a little less than what it originally sold for go here, the quality control is the one thing the store does have down so this will cut back on your questioning a piece before buying.
They have a very, very small section of vintage. Rarely do I find something good here but when I do
. Check out their vintage section! If you get to their Kutztown store its a whole different story! There’s much more costume and vintage and still at a great price.
As for style… I’m not so sure what’s going on. I’m not sure if this is due to the area and a lack of folks bringing in good styles but most items seem blasé and no character. But that may just be what the majority of the public is into?

Like most shops of this kind you have to be patient. You have to dig through a lot of times to find the gems. Trust me, there are gems here. And reasonably priced ones at that.
They seem to consistently have a good selection of jeans and button down shirts for men, as well as the occasional amazing find t-​shirt. Case and point… the Michael Jackson Thriller album cover black tee my wife found. Well, I found it, but it was aggressively tight even for me.
My wife always seems to find some unique throwback styles here, and whenever we are in Bethlehem we make it a point to come to this shop.
They also offer a consignment program, but I do not have the details on how that actually works.

I do like this store. It’s well organized for a second-​hand store, the clothes are 99% in good repair (I’ve seen a few shirts with minor staining or tears), and there’s a wide variety to choose from. I’ve shopped here several times, usually found at least one or two items I purchased (sometimes more), and got my mother-​in-​law hooked. Hell, even my husband will stop in with me if we are on Main Street (he grabbed an awesome Guess jacket last year for $ 30).
Why do I give it three stars?
It’s small. Yes, I understand that rent on Main Street is probably über-​high and it’s difficult to get a large location, but I don’t like constantly bumping elbows with people while I shop. I feel claustrophobic while I shop here.
Prices are hit or miss. I agree with some of the reviews that the prices are quite high for certain items, especially with some of the jewelry. I understand that jewelry doesn’t depreciate as quickly as clothing, but some of the price tags I find to be unreasonable.
I’m a size 5, and have difficulty finding clothes sometimes. There are a lot of clothes tailored to 0 – 3 sizes. It’d be nice if they picked up more variety for the not rail-​thin kind. I understand they can only go by what comes in the door to be sold, but its frustrating when most of the shirts I like wouldn’t cover my chest if I tried them on.
Staff could be nicer. They’re not the friendliest lot of people I’ve met in a retail establishment, and they’ve been relatively rude to some people who have come in to sell clothes while I was shopping. It’s a store where you go in, get what you want, and get out. Don’t expect much else.
Disclaimer: I personally haven’t sold here. I’ve only overheard what staff have said to people who came in to sell while I was shopping.

Cash for your unwanted clothes and accessories. My advice would be to gather up everything you want to donate to a thrift store, but make a stop at the Attic on the way. They are extremely choosy but honestly, why should they pay for unsellable clothes? They look for 1) good condition and 2) current season/​in style. Drop off your stuff, they’ll give you an estimated time to come back, and they’ll offer you a store credit or cash. I always take the cash. Warning — the Bethlehem location does NOT hold onto your unwanted items. You have to take them with you. Their website isn’t really clear on this but that’s how it goes. I’d comfortably recommend The Attic.

Yea. I don’t get the hype about this place. I’m not saying they don’t carry cute stuff because they do. But for what they charge you could go buy the stuff brand new! I mean really…$ 18 for a cheap wet seal shirt? I don’t think that company even makes clothes that expensive! You could easily find cuter stuff at Via or even the Salvation Army for about a quarter of the price.

You can walk in with clothes that have tags on them and still leave with them and disappointment. I have sold clothes there twice now thinking it was just the clerk. I will make more on ebay! Also, i couldn’t find anything to buy :(

Pretty good vintage/​resale store in downtown Bethlehem. Focused on casual clothing.
They have lots of great purses and accessories — I could have spent hours browsing around. Fabulous selection of jeans. There is also a rack of dresses that is entertaining to look through; I found several dresses that would be worthy of only the finest Golden Girls party. :)
Take your time, browse around and have fun!

I found this place by accident when I was walking around the area. I love browsing through thrift stores to see interesting finds so I was excited to go in. I don’t usually look at clothing so I just looked through the jewelry and purses. I found an amazing 70’s Coach cross body bag. The cost was a bit higher than what I thought it would be but with some considerations I decided to get it. I love how it looks and got a lot of compliments on it. Sadly, after that experience I didn’t find anything good after several other visits.

I thoroughly enjoy the attic. Unfortunately my full figure prevents me from finding a ton of things here — but the stuff is good and I don’t think I’ve ever seen anything more than $ 20. Definitely skews younger (hs and college looking) but if you dig you can find something for anyone.
They are EXTREMELY picky when it comes to consigning. I usually go first here with items to sell since they give you cash upfront (or more value with store credit). However, I have taken their rejects elsewhere and have successfully sold them.
Great place for inexpensive trendy clothes.

I used to go to the Attic Kutztown when I was in college and started going to the Bethlehem store which is actually closer to me. I’m the type of person who always has her eye our for a good bargain /​great find and you can def do that here.
I was surprised to read Tracy F’s review and have the opposite feelings. If you’re expecting Barneys then you should shop there! I think The Attic Bethlehem was a great addition to the other fun shops on Main Street and know I will continue to get great clothes.
(And for the record Tracy. I don’t, nor have I ever worked there. And it’s spelled awkward. If you’re going to insult someone at least try to appear knowledgeable).

I’ve been in here a couple of times with friends, but never really finding anything too worthwhile. I’ve found that they usually have a pretty decent selection, but it’s mostly for women. That is not to say, however, that they do not have a men’s section. While it does seem to be growing in size, it’s just not as big. That is not to say, however, that you couldn’t find something if you looked deep enough.
Between a growing selection, and the somewhat cold service, it’s definitely about a 3 star, maybe with a little time, it could be a 4.

Full of great finds! OMG there’s a pair of Isaac Mizrahi boots (not the Target line, the original Isaac) that almost fit me. Dammit! They were gorgeous multi-​colored snakeskin, perfect condition, and about $ 15.
The prices are reasonable and the quality very good. Great selection of accessories, scarves… everything, really. I went on a Saturday to sell clothes (word of warning — Saturday is not the day to sell clothes, there was a two –hour backup and the store was mobbed with all ages) and I shopped and left and then returned, no problem. Next time I’m selling though I’ll definitely go on a weekday.
They’re really selective in what they buy, and my only disappointment was that they didn’t have much for, um, double-​digit sized broads.
I know young women who shop there every week to get the latest stock and to sell their unwanted stuff so there must be great turnover.

What a happy accident!
I found the attic today while walking back to my car, and almost didn’t go in as it’s original sister store in Kutztown never had much that appealed to my personal taste (and not very much that fit a curvier girl, quite frankly). I had only been to that one a handful of times and left empty-​handed, though I very much appreciated the store for what it was.
HOWEVER, today was my lucky day as the new (new-​ish?) Bethlehem located was a-​ma-​zing. I walked into the dressing room with about 8 things, and had to pry myself away from the belts, purses and shoes.
They organize clothing by type of piece, AND size which means you can really use your shopping time wisely, and not overlook something great. The womens sizes went up to at least a 16 (likely some larger sizes in dresses and sweaters), and the boys section was GREAT and a vast improvement from the older store, as well.
The girls working the counter (one may have been the owner) were very polite, friendly, and complimentary, not at all like the pretentious clerks you face in city thrift stores. The selection was also very well-​edited, and the prices were very affordable as the markup is still «cheap». (They aren’t trying to charge $ 35 dollars on a dress that only cost them $ 2 — you’ll pay more like $ 8, which means everyone wins!)
As I was walking out, another shopper briefly filled me on their buying services — if you take stuff they want to sell, they will give you 35% cash for it (of the new sell price) or 55% store credit. (*Don’t quote me on those numbers, though.) This is GREAT if you’re someone like me who has a lot of nice clothes that you just don’t wear, and want to see a little return on them.
ATTIC, you are great, this Valley needs you, and I cannot wait to visit again to see what you bring out for the fall!
