The name Apotheca is a reference to the original purpose of our building, which dates back to the 1800’s. Our space was once a storehouse for apothecary-​mixed remedies. When you visit us, you will experience the original worn floorboards and tin ceilings from that era. We have a relaxed and upscale vibe, supported by an eclectic mix of old and new styles. In addition to our salon services, we also offer hand-​selected clothing and jewelry. Apotheca provides a uniquely fashion-​forward experience, in a whimsical and unpretentious atmosphere.

This is my second review for Apotheca because I realize that though I have been going here for a couple of years already, I have never given a proper review for the aesthetician services that I come for most often — waxing (Brazilian, eyebrows) and eyebrow tinting! I see Christina and she is super professional and precise. I always leave here feeling fresh and smooth and she is always friendly and sweet. I highly recommend this salon and Christina for these services and I am looking forward to getting a spa facial very soon! **NOTE: Something to keep in mind is that all tips must be cash.**

I absolutely love this place, the staff is very attentive and friendly. I love my hair Stylest Melissa she is by far the best not just in Apotheca but in the valley, I’m super picky with my hair I been to almost every salon trying out Stylest

Sadly had to knock off a few stars, I have been to this place numerous times & have been seen by a few different people I wish they were a bit more consistent. While they are all pleasant, the results seemed to vary from session to session. For the price they charge I shouldn’t be leaving with just alright results from time to time. This place has potential, they could use another esthetician who has a lot of experience and could teach some of the others a thing or two.

Went for a Brazilian and it was horrible! I usually go to EWC where they use hard wax and I’ve never had an issue. But at apotheca they used regular wax and it was the most painful service I’ve ever gotten. Not only was it painful but my skin got a terrible reaction and broke out everywhere. For at least two weeks my skin was extremely tender, sore, and red. Maybe apotheca has better hairstylists but I would never go there for a wax!

Best haircut I’ve ever had, and ten bucks cheaper than the place I used to go in the city. Anyone who wants to complain about price, go ahead and get your $ 15 haircut at the mall or something. This place is all about quality, and it’s totally worth it.

I highly recommend Apotheca for a manicure; I highly suggest going elsewhere for hair color. First, the good, their manicures are not cheap, I believe they are $ 20 but they use Deborah Lippman polishes, which are high quality and they take their time to do an absolutely perfect job. The manicurist was extremely pleasant and polite. Now for the bad, again, the colorist was extremely nice and I enjoyed our conversation. I felt that the job she did was fine — nothing special — but the bill came as a nasty shock. I paid about $ 100 for a few streaks of bleach and a blow out (which was extra and not explained to me in advance… NICE!) The place is very cute, they have other items for sale — similar to what you might find at Anthropologie.

I’ve gone here a couple time for my hair and eyebrow waxing. I love it here! Amanda the owner is so friendly and helpful and Alicia does a great job with my hair! So happy to have found a great salon that everyone is so down to earth.

I Love (with a capital L) this place. I come in regularly for waxings with Amanda and cut and color with Ryan. They both do awesome jobs and are super friendly. Amanda is quick and professional. Ryan is a riot! Total sweetheart, fun to talk to, and I’m always extremely pleased with my hair. Highly recommend them both. The boutique out front is cute too, a bit expensive, but sometimes it is nice to splurge.
Note: You can’t tip on your credit card, so bring cash. There is an ATM right across the street which is convenient.

I’ve been here twice, once for a mani/​pedi and once for a cut & color.
It’s one of the most expensive places in town and I’m not certain it’s worth it. Also, gratuity is cash-​only, which no one let me know beforehand.
Kristle, the stylist who took care of my cut & color was fantastic, but I’m not at all thrilled with the management here. I’m going to look elsewhere.

Apotheca is the first place I ever went to for a brazilian and I’m hooked! I don’t live in Bethlehem anymore so I’ve tried to go to other, closer places and they aren’t nearly as good in terms of atmosphere or cleanliness. Amanda is so quick and as painless as can be, and she is cool too so the appointment flies. I’ve gone to the other girls as well and everyone is good. I would definitely recommend it!

Just got back from my appointments this afternoon and had to write a review! Apotheca was wonderful. I wanted to give a Brazilian wax a go and this salon and Amanda came highly recommended. I was nervous going in to the waxing procedure but Amanda made it quick and relatively painless. She was nice to talk to and made me feel at ease. I also received a spa pedicure from Kim. It was a great experience. The pedi was relaxing and I loved having the option of getting a paraffin wax. She too, was truly lovely, and pleasant to chat with.
I highly recommend Apotheca for its waxing and nail services. The boutique had a lot of cute items such as jewelry, clothing and other accessories. I picked up an awesome hat on the way out for my upcoming trip to the beach.

After several years of working up the courage for a Brazilian bikini wax — I DID IT! And thanks to Julie at Apotheca, it was painless enough that I already scheduled my second one. It was as quick and comfortable as those things are ever going to be — and I even picked up an adorable ring and blazer from the boutique as a reward to myself.

Amazing. I love this place. I was pretty scared to ever get my brows waxed, and Amanda not only did an amazing job waxing them, but she knows how to shape them perfectly. She has the best eye for making sure you look great, and she’s super fast and efficient! I highly recommend Apotheca salon, and specially Amanda, for getting waxed!
They also have a small, but amazingly cute, selection of clothes right up front! What’s not to love? You can get your brows done, or your hair, or get a facial, and get a sweet outfit at the same time? Amazinggggggg!
