Pizza Tempo

Food is great. customer service is great. I have tried different pizzas and sandwiches and wraps. all taste yummy. presentation is great. Delivery time is less that most places (around 20 min). I would give this place 5 stars

I have been customer for several years and never had a bad meal, my favorites are the Steak & Cheese (probably the best one in Bethesda.!) and also the salmon wrap is great and always fresh,. I like the 2 pizza slices & soda for lunch as well, the owner is very nice and friendly, fair prices, I have never ordered delivery, I always come over to get the food.
The salads are very good as well, I had the gyro salad and for my surprise, I got a nice portion of gyro meat on top of the salad.

This is my go-​to pizza place when I fly east to Bethesda for business, where my company is headquartered at. I always carry out as it is very close to my hotel so can’t vouch for delivery at all. But as far as carry out, these guys are always very friendly and very fast in making my pie. Big fan and recommend them if you are in Bethesda.

Who doesn’t love pizza? Me and my roommate, we are always searching for the next best pizza. So far, this place has been our repeat place of order. My roommate in particular is a little bit pickier than me, and she really loves the crust here (a huge thing for her!). The food is delicious, fries are my favorite type of seasoned, thinner/​crispy fries. I wish they wouldn’t put extra seasoning like old bay on all their fries, but it doesn’t detract from how much I love the fries. The best part is that the food comes piping hot when you order! It just makes the food taste 200% better.

I’ve been going to Pizza Tempo since they started in a gas station in Rockville. Verdict: I don’t think their food is quite as good as it was back then, but it never disappoints!
The pides are very good. They’re essentially boat shaped pizzas; less saucy and more cheesy. Their pizzas are also very good. I get their meat lovers and supreme pizza frequently and it’s always been consistently good.
But the subs win the prize! Beef/​lamb/​chicken steak and cheese are the best. Doner is OK (I prefer a proper Turkish doner), but the steak and cheese is your best bet here. Wings are average as well.

Ordered chicken doner and baked fries, the food came was delivered after 1 hour 30 minutes wait and ice cold, the chicken doner is no doner, it’s raw sliced chicken breast in pita, I guess they have no clue what a doner kebab is and to top it the fries were soggy

They seem to have made a few changes for the better. Have ordered from here several times since writing the first review and have been able to try more of their menu. The salads are very good. My friend ordered one of the pides, wasn’t a huge fan. But the chicken doner wrap, can’t go wrong with that. It’s amazing. Try their baked fries, we were pleasantly surprised. My friend is kind of a fry snob and she really liked them. The garlic bread is still a big nope, wayyy too dry with almost zero flavor.
I should also mention that while we’ve ordered from here a decent amount of times, none of us have ever tried the pizza. Huh. Would like to at some point. I would definitely recommend this restaurant, low delivery fee, friendly staff and good food.

It’s definitely as good as pizza gets in this area. Being from NJ (the mecca of italian-​american food) this pizza place puts out a great effort considering the atrocious pizza I’ve had in comparison in DC/​bethesda/​rockville in general.
They have good specials, 2 large pies (1-​topping) for $ 20
Also, the owner was friendly and threw in a free drink when I went to pick it up.
Only places I would order pizza from in Bethesda are here and M & N’s.

While the delivery can be a little slow, the fresh to order hand tossed pizza is worth it. The location itself isn’t much, but order your pizza to go and you’ll be set. It’s clean, staff is friendly, and the price is right! Sujuk pide is the stuff dreams are made of!

Fresh, hot, and good tasting pizza. Delivery was faster than the quoted time. I would most definitely order again, and certainly better chances of receiving a quality pizza from them, versus Domino’s or Papa John’s. I would also add that the pizza holds well, for a next day nuke in ‘Chef Mic’.

The supreme pizza is outstanding. Delivery was on time. One of the best pizzas I’ve had in a very long time. Thanks, guys!

After reading the reviews I was really optimistic to get a quick bite to eat from here that would be halfway decent. I ordered buffalo wings and a chicken caesar wrap from here. I ended up with 8 of the smallest pieces of chicken wings (with very little actual chicken meat) and to top it off the wings were not tender at all. They were so tough it was difficult to chew them. They also came out cold.
The chicken caesar wrap had a couple of spoiled pieces of lettuce, soggy croutons and a couple pieces of chicken that was not flavorful and tough.
Regardless to say I ended up throwing away my entire meal and going down the street to get dinner.

Pros– deliver to NIH, decent chicken panini (used to taste better)
Cons– Delivery service is at times inaccurate and inconsistent with order (examples: over 1hr for food to arrive, salad without accompanying dressing, tinny tiny wings instead of jumbo wings as advertised).

I always order pizza from here, its so good. And their wings are to die for, the person over the phone could be a little nicer, but whatever i want my pizza! they have such a variety on their menu, which ranges from regular pizza pies to turkish style pizza (not sure if turkish), which is to die for.

I tried this spot when they first opened and was not impressed. Not certain what made me give it another go; however, they will not get another chance.
I kept my order very simple. Buffalo wings and hummus appetizer. I’m quite certain that this chicken was alive just mere hours ago as it was severely under cooked. I will not try them again.
They also delivered my food minus cutlery or napkins. Very frustrating.

Oh, you could absolutely do worse than Pizza Tempo for pizza in Bethesda. And believe me, I have (cough Manny & Olga’s cough)!
Pizza Tempo is my go-​to place. I live right between Manny & Olga’s and Pizza Tempo, and I go here every time, without fail. It seems the further South I get from New York slices, the harder it is to find a substitute. This is the closest to that style I can find down here. The sauce is very fresh, they always nail the sauce/​cheese ratio, and the order is always ready when I’m told it will be. I have yet to get these delicious-​looking pides, but they’re next on my list.
It would be nice to be able to sit down and eat here, but all you get are a few stools and a wall counter. However, since they are right across the street, I usually just do takeout. Also, the last few times I’ve been there, I find the new kid to be a little clueless. I’m not being mean, I am using the actual definition of the word! I’ll tell him my order, he’ll stare at me, repeat it confusedly, then rifle through some papers. Always adds a few minutes to my visit. I’ll give him the learning curve for now. Other than that, they typically always have the order on hand, and are quick to grab it for me.
If nothing else, get the white pizza! Easily the best white pizza I’ve had from a counter-​pizza joint.
Damn. Now I want one.

First time ordering and pleasantly surprised! We had a pizza with olives, mushrooms, onions, and sausage and a spinach pide. Loved both. Delivery took about 45 minutes on a Saturday night. Definitely adding them to our rotation!

I can’t believe I’ve never been to this place! My friend brought me here and honestly I was pushing to go to & pizza instead but got over ruled. And thank god I did! This place was dope. Tons of vegetarian options. I chose to get the spinach Turkish pide style pizza. It was soooo good. I added a little bit of ketchup on top, sounds weird I know — but my friend recommended it, and it was banging. I plan on returning and bringing friends! Not a great sit down place, but on a nice day it would be perfect to grab your pizza (or gyro) and eat outside. It does have a few chair inside but not many.

My replacement Pizza arrived swiftly, looked beautiful, and tasted excellent. The first one had unfortunately arrived squished and I had to scrape the cheese off of the cardboard box. The manager called me because of my Unilocal review and photographs, offered a free replacement pizza and apologized! Talk about customer service. They totally redeemed themselves!
Their pizzas are very flavorful and the cheese is excellent. It’s really one of the best places to get pizzas in the area and is a lot better than Dominos or Papa Johns. It’s certainly worth trying for the taste alone.

Mmmm… leftovers from the weekend remains taste grrrrrreat the next day. For the #playoffs we decided on PT since we were in the mood for their type-o-‘zza (see pics — you’re welcome).
XL 16 incher white pizza — can’t go wrong with that. Consists of garlic, olive oil, oregano, fontina, and mozzarella. Then we topped this experience with half pepperoni (mine) and half sausage (his). $ 2.00 per topping for XL size.
We grazed on the slices throughout the games. Hot or cold each helping was packed with comforting flavor. Belly-​approved *thumbs up*
ETA (estimated time of arrival) was 20 minutes but got the knock at the door within 15 minutes. Grazie –_​0
