The place is always packed! There is always tons of hair on the floor. The last time I went with my daughter she picked up head lice! It was a nightmare.

I want to stress first that everyone with whom I interacted there was very nice; so that counts for something. However, I asked for a very classic, normal men’s haircut; medium on top, shorter on the sides and in back, and that is not at all what I received. The first person to cut my hair made such a mess of it that she had to bring in a more senior staff member to help, who ended up solving the issue by cutting my hair so short as to basically be a buzz cut. I was very disappointed by how I came out looking. To make matters worse, it wasn’t even a competent buzz cut, as I later found obvious uneven patches next to my temple and had to fix them myself in the bathroom mirror. As I said, everyone was nice and apologized for the screw up, but I most certainly will never be going there again.

So I wanted a quick wash and set and foolishly thought I could get it done anywhere. Afterall, could it really be that hard to get a hair wash and blow-dry? I walk into HC and immediately wished I had walked out. But my minute of hesitation resulted in me being shown to an empty chair. The salon was practically empty save for 2 elderly ladies having their hair curled and set(think Legally Blond beauty shop scene). So I get my hair washed — bonus was that my clothes got a bit of «washing» too. She does my hair and when it was all done, it looked worse than when I walked in. I tried to explain that it was not what I wanted and had to give her instructions — she clearly did not understand and I did not have the heart to tell her it was quite horrid — so I smiled(in a weird I just ate something bad way) and tried to show her and she re-did it but it was still bad. Paid up, tipped her — went home to do what I should have done in the first place — wash my hair out and did my own blow-dry. Serves me right.
