From beginning to end, I always feel welcome and special. Everyone is professional and friendly. I go to Ricky for my highlights, color and cut! He is a true artist! I always leave feeling beautiful! I have noticed the other stylist and they are also very good, clients here are happy! It’s like a family! I can’t imagine being treated poorly, unless of course you were rude and most likely deserved it!

I felt discriminated against. We weren’t welcome into the salon. The receptionist (Casper) AKA the Kardashian want to be. She had a bad attitude and didn’t want to help us. Also the Marcus guy was being very hateful towards us and staring us up and down as if we weren’t paying customers and didn’t belong. Only one guy was very nice he was also the man who cut my boyfriends hair. I felt very unwelcomed overall. I was crying when I left the salon because they made me feel so horrible. Do not go to this salon!

I have always been nervous to try out salons inside of malls, but the atmosphere in this salon as I strolled by intrigued me. I walked into Eric Alexander and asked if they had any stylists that were good with African American hair and I was told CeCe. The moment I saw her, I liked her. Her hair looked fly and she was smiling from ear to ear so I made an appointment. She was brutally honest with me about the condition of my hair. It was colored, relaxed and a hot mess. My hair was shedding and falling right out of my scalp. I told her that I was toying with the idea of going natural and she highly encouraged me to do so and told me the best way to do it without big chopping and how to deal with the two textures. She also told me that my bra strap length hair needed a cut. (I was’t ready for that) I hate scissors so I made her agree to just a trim and a trim is what I got. I can’t stand when stylists say a trim and then take off a lot — I know you ladies feel me!
I have been seeing her faithfully every 6 – 8 weeks and have almost fully transitioned to natural. My last visit, she cut my hair into a chin length bob and it looks amazing. My hair is no longer falling out and is shiny and full of life. CeCe also has a way of making you feel like you are her only client, which I love. I enjoy sitting in her hair and talking to her, which for me is a must in a stylist. Maria, who I believe is an assistant to Moses, gives the best shampoo and scalp massage that I’ve ever had.

I been going to see Sasha for almost two years now and After each visit i could not be happier. She does amazing job with color and haircut! She is really talented. Few times i showed her a picture from magazine and she did my hair exactly as it was shown. Highly recommended!

I am so so happy with my experience here! As soon as I walked in I was instantly greeted with a smile by the receptionist. I was taken back to his chair where I told him I needed a big change in my hair. He suggested a warm ombré with some balayage highlights and I am absolutely in LOVE with the finished product! Moses knew exactly what I needed as soon as I sat in his chair. I was constantly attended to the entire time by both Moses and his staff. He was kind, knowledgeable, AND hilarious which was an added bonus! Moses and his salon have gained a loyal client!

Not a fan at all. I purchased a living social deal for my thirteen year old daughter for the Coppola keratin treatment for back to school. She has had a keratin treatment in the past with excellent results, but the salon we used to go to is now more than an hour away since we moved. Scheduling: Professional and simple. No issues whatsoever. Flexible with the available times. My daughter is Black and has thick, long hair. I contacted the salon PRIOR to purchasing the living social deal to confirm, that they have experience doing ethnic hair. They assured me that this was the case.
Bottom line: I could have done a better job in my own living room. While her hair is straight, it is dry, the edges are barely done. I will have to put the flat iron to it again. She told them to trim it and they charged an additional $ 50 and told me that it is usually $ 75. For a full on haircut, sure. But a trim?
Final straw? The receptionist said that they recommended that she get a Brazilian keratin next time (like there will be one!) she comes in as it is stronger than the Coppola. They should have informed me of that and I would have gone with the recommendation as I appreciate professional advice.
No instructions when I picked her up regarding not getting it wet or manipulating it as I received from the stylist at our previous salon.
I’d purchased two deals. One for my daughter and one for me. Suffice it to say, I just requested a refund on the other. I will drive an hour for better results and to work with stylists who truly know how to work with all types of hair.

I contacted the salon after my daughter’s visit just to share my disappointment in her outcome. The manager, Daniella, was very responsive and listened to my concerns and was very active in seeking a mutual conclusion. She discussed with the stylist who’d done my daughter’s hair then called me back and offered for her to come back in for a complimentary express keratin treatment with CiCi a stylist who is experienced in working with Black hair. At any rate, I called in over the weekend, they scheduled us quickly, she had her hair done yesterday with CiCi who consulted with us in advance to ensure that our expectations were congruent with the service. They notified me when she almost done so I could come and get her and WOW! Her hair looks AWESOME! I am very pleased. I spoke with Daniella in follow-​up and she truly worked hard with me to ensure that we were satisfied. Based on my current experience with the hairstyle and the professionalism of the management team, I would send my daughter back… to CiCi!

Terrible support staff and service! I endured these philistines for the past few years for an average or decent haircut, but no more. Avoid this salon unless you live in the suburbs and typically go to a mall for your haircut. This place has all the ambiance of a Bubbles or Hair Cuttery. It’s conveniently located just across from a Pen Boutique and not too far from the food court and a Cinnabon. And you can get your hair washed next to a big screen TV blaring Spanish language Telenovelas. BTW, what’s the deal with the Israeli hair stylist named Moses who is referred to as a celebrity stylist? Hey Scrappy Coco, you are working in a mall. Back to the city for me.

Loved my haircut here! Sasha did a great job on trimming and styling the dead ends to my hair. She really knew what she was doing and took her time on evening out my hair rather than chopping it off. :) Haircuts start at 65+ with an addition of shampoo, blow dry, and cut. The place is super chiq and clean. Will definitely come back when I have the chance!

Love my hair! Bryan did an amazing job! He took his time and gave me the look i wanted. The price was worth it. The staff was friendly and the place was clean…

I have been getting my haircut for many years here. They had a great stylist named Samin and then a good stylist named Ty. Then they left and I tried two more, the first was bad and the second was horrific. Know that this review is written by a man who uses head and shoulders and cares little about his hair –it was that bad. The only reason I did not give one star is because the shampoo girl was great! Don’t be deceived by the name, it is no longer a nice salon, it is an overpriced hair cuttery!

Ask for a gown. Some product that was sprayed stained my shirt.
I recommend Gloria now. She listens to what you need, comes up with creative solutions, cares about quality and is very knowledgeable. Gloria offered free eyebrow tweezing or nail polish, but I declined. She’s opinionated and likes giving advice, but doesn’t mind you disagreeing with her. Gloria sells Mary Kay and recommends products.

The salon doesn’t matter as long as you get MARCUS. He will take care of you and give you a great haircut and style! He never fails!

Have been going to Marcus for years, and have gotten haircuts from other stylists when he is available on occasion. The stylists are all great people, and the place is kept nice and clean. I would ¹⁰⁄₁₀ recommend Marcus any day.

Went to Thais again she is the best stylist love the salon some what pricey but worth it i got an ombré coloring done and love it

I would give my salon experience 4 stars, but my hair stylist 5 stars. I had Sherley, who is apparently new to the salon. She did an awesome pixie haircut on me with a great red color. I’m really happy with it. She convinced me to dye my eyebrows, which I’d never done before, and they definitely match the red better now. She was really nice and welcoming as well.
The salon itself is very clean and upscale, but I felt a little unwelcome. Some of the staff (not all, most were lovely) would sit in larger groups and block my path without moving when they saw me trying to get by. I’m not sure if I’d switch from my DC salon because of that, but I really loved Sherley, so we’ll see.
I didn’t think it was too expensive compared to the salons in DC. My single process was $ 65, and I got a hair cut/​deep condition and it came out to around $ 130. It’s exactly what I pay in Dupont at an upscale salon, and worth the price to me.

I am writing about Hanna I been going to her about 4 years now and she is wonderful and she always remember how I like my hair and she always will give me if it would look good or not.

My five stars are definitely for Pete. I have known him for years and followed him here (as did a herd of other folks) from another salon in the Bethesda area.
I love his cuts. He does excellent work with short hair, and I’m amazed that he has managed to do anything at all with my super fine mop! I have seen numerous photos of his other cuts that are so precise and clean. There is no one else I trust to give me such high quality results.
My favorite thing is that he listens and somehow manages to interpret my terrible descriptions, pictures, and arm waving into the style I imagined. Every other stylist I have visited has gotten it wrong, and I end up with something nowhere near what I had hoped for. It’s a luxury to truly relax when going to the salon. I know I am in very capable hands and that I will look and feel amazing when I leave.
I have referred numerous friends and my entire family to him, and All have had nothing but warm things to say about my favorite stylist.
I have to be honest, I’m not crazy about the salon itself. The online reservations process is pretty bad, there is little to no seating for clients who are waiting, and the atmosphere isn’t always friendly. It always feels like there is underlying tension. I guess that is pretty typical at higher end places where there are so many huge egos in one small place? I mean, SMILE people! You get to make people look great all day. :-)

I’ve been going to Riki for years. I was delighted when this salon opened.
The salon is beautiful, very stylish. Staff is professional and friendly. Last night I showed up 15 minutes late (bus ran late). Riki had waited. The folks at the salon were understanding and pleasant, which was great, as it was late.
Best of all, I got a great haircut.
Highly recommended.

I want to start off by saying that I really did my research before making my appointment with a new stylist in the area. After reading fab reviews about Pete McCabe, I had a good feeling that he would be a good stylist for me. After my appointment today, I’m glad I went with him as a stylist. Not only was he a talented and humble stylist, he was also very personable and had a great sense of humor. The salon had a great vibe. I’ll be referring my friends, indefinitely. Thanks, Pete!

I am obsessed with Moses and this salon. I have been seeing Moses for 10 years and he and his team do the absolute best blonde highlights. After 2 hours with him, I look and feel like the sexiest and most glamorous version of myself. He has also fixed mine and my friends’ hair after at-​home dye job disasters that I thought were a lost cause (college was an experimental time). Additionally, he does amazing updos.
I saw Moses for highlights for the first time last week since he moved to Eric Alexander and I’m thrilled that the picked this beautiful spot to continue making his magic.
I have no idea what Judy is talking about. Moses has personality, for sure, but it sounds like she has never been to a salon before. I could not be less concerned if the stylist takes a phone call (?). Of course he has a team of professionals to help him – Maria’s head massages are phenomenal. Regardless, I’m always in and out in under 2 hours with fabulous cut and color, which is better than most spots in town. Chreky’s took almost 3.5, even though I had the first available appointment.
