I recently bought a house in Bethesda, MD which was built in 1936… and I am pretty sure the garage was built soon there after. Until now I have had to manually open and close the door which was becoming increasingly more difficult due to the age and status of the door. Due to the weight of the door my wife was not able to open it, so we decided to put on an opener. I called one company who came out and told me he would not be able to install an opener on the current door and I would have to purchase a new door along with the opener. He then left and I never heard from that company again. A few days later I found Crisway (on Unilocal actually) and spoke to John. I explained what I was looking for and he told me he could come out the following morning and give me a quote. He came, on time, and confirmed that i would need a new door if we wanted an opener. He gave me a number of options based on style and price and helped me pick out the best combination based on looks and overall cost. One week later (on Veteran’s Day) his team came out and installed a flawless door and opener. They were prompt, courteous, very knowledgeable and did a great job. They walked me through everything before the installation and made sure that everything met my satisfaction before they left. They even sawed off an extra part of the arm to ensure that my small SUV would fit in the garage. I am so thrilled with my decision to use Crisway and I would recommend them to anyone who needs garage door assistance.

My daughter just moved into a 75 year old home. It has a single car garage with a very old door. I wasn’t sure if an opener was an option. I found Crisway on Unilocal & arranged to meet John here the next day for an estimate. He was knowledgable and, as it turned out, accurate in his assessment of potential difficulties the installers could run into. The installation took place just two days later. They showed up as scheduled and were pleasant & competent. As John predicted, the concrete CEILING was a stinker getting in the anchor bolts for the track & motor. It all turned out fine.
I had compared prices with Home Depot & I believe I paid a little bit more BUT I got excellent, quick service with no surprise extra fees. In working on these old homes problems are the norm. So, who knows? Maybe I didn’t pay more, after all. I’m happy.

Delivery scheduled as promised and installation without a hitch. My builder says it’s one of the nicest and definitely the quietest garage door he’s ever seen. Top-​notch service and quality product.

Matt and Pat showed up on time, were very communicative with explaining what problem they diagnosed with our garage door. They fixed it, serviced the other doors and advised how I can file the warranty claim. The service feel was very fair and we are planning to use them again when the new part arrives and needs to be installed. «Service sells» and not once did they try to sell me anything other than what needed to be done. Great team!

We were surprised with how quickly they had our custom-​sized garage door ready, and they worked all day through the evening to complete the installation in one day. We paid them more than the balance we owed them after the door was installed and they called us first thing the next morning to tell us.
