History

Established in 1998.

Having always wanted to open her own business, owner/​operator, Sarah Kerchner, started Bundles of Cookies after falling in love with the cookie concept. The process initially started with researching available franchising opportunities. This avenue fizzled relatively fast as she quickly realized that owning a franchise limited the creativity, flexibility and potential for growth of the product and brand. Sarah new that the concept was solid and was confident she could improve on the products that currently occupied the market. After much research, a business plan and a lot of sweat equity Bundles of Cookies was born.

11 years later, Bundles of Cookies has created an identity with designs, colors and keepsake container options. The cookies are highly sought after and used to help celebrate life’s momentous occasions. Purchased as centerpieces for a party, graduation or wedding or baby event or used as individually wrapped party favors, Bundles of Cookies is sure to please.

Meet the Business Owner

Business Owner

Having grown up baking chocolate chip cookies weekly for my dad — a genuine «cookie monster» it only seemed appropriate that I would one day own a cookie store.

Upon graduating with an undergraduate degree in nutrition, I entered the Peace Corps as a Maternal/​Child Health Educator where I trained local health workers on all things baby and nutrition. This two year commitment was followed by a one year commitment with an non-​profit in Seattle through AmeriCorps*VISTA.

One year later, I am in Washington, DC taking care of my niece and faced with the «what’s next?» question. After much soul searching, vacillating between grad school & career path, I settled on going at it on my own. One thing led to another and Bundles of Cookies came to fruition.

Eleven years later, I am as happy if not happier than the day I started. Bundles has added much to my life, including the introduction to my husband of seven years. And the rest is history!
