History
Established in 1999.
Jeff and Barbara Black are the chef/owners of Black’s Bar and Kitchen, Black Market Bistro, Black Salt Fish Market and Restaurant, Pearl DIve Oyster Palace, Black Jack and Republic. These six restaurants make up Black Restaurant Group.
In April of 1999 the two chefs opened Black’s Bar and Kitchen in Bethesda. This restaurant had an extraordinary oyster bar, speakeasy décor, vibrant bar and fine dining room. After a major renovation in the Summer of 2007, the «new» Black’s Bar and Kitchen was revealed and well recieved by the Bethesda community. We are a high quality restaurant focusing on delicious foods paired with upscale wines, creative martinins, a trendy bar scene, eye catching dining room and the most desirable patio in Bethesda.
