History

Established in 2011.

Tidepool Toys and Games opened its doors for business on May 21, 2011. Located oceanfront on the boardwalk in beautiful Bethany Beach, Delaware, Tidepool Toys is just a few steps away from the Atlantic Ocean. We carry kites and beach toys as you would expect to find in a boardwalk store, but also carry a wide variety of specialty toys, games, plush, puzzles and crafts. We are a neighborhood toy store that just happens to be located right on the beach.

We stay open year-​round to serve both visitors and our local customers. We enjoy meeting new families who are vacationing in the Bethany area, and we also get to see our local friends and neighbors who are enjoying the beach or a walk on the boardwalk. We sponsor several events at our store throughout the year.

In 2014, we opened our second location down the beach in Fenwick Island to serve both of Delaware’s «quiet resort» towns, and in April 2015 we opened a seasonal store on the Viking Golf/​Thunder Lagoon boardwalk also in Fenwick.

We use our experience as parents to pick toys that we would want for our own children, and many of our products were tested in our own home by our son and daughter over the last 11 years.
