Difebo’s Restaurant

Enjoyed our dinner, enjoyed our waitress, enjoyed my tab… Chicken Parm was on point. Seasonal specials were annoyed. The place is small in the winter but courtyard opens in the summer. Met the chef, the place is good. Check it out.

This meal was filled with sodium, service was poor and food wasn’t hot. I wouldn’t Recommend DiFebos. Not to mention, it’s over priced. It felt like they were rationing the bread and the server kept reaching infront of me during the service.

I thought the food was ok here, but was expecting far better. I went here for both lunch and dinner. Both times was ok but nothing to write home about. I haven’t been to the one in rehobeth but I am assuming by the ways that others have talked about the one in rehobeth it would be better.

Tonight’s dinner was a somewhat mixed experience.
On a positive note, our dinner and server were excellent. My sister was gluten free, and our server Leslie (who was also gluten free) did an excellent job making her feel welcome. Dinner was very tasty, the eggplant Parmesan and pan roasted salmon were delicious.
Our experience was hurt by the rude hostess. We arrived 15 minutes early for our reservation, and the hostess informed us that we were early. After making us wait 25 minutes while checking her watch and looking at us as if to prove her point, she yelled out party’s name as if we weren’t standing directly in front of her. She then had us sit at the table right by the door which had been empty the whole time we had been waiting.
The food was good, but we might think twice about coming back.
Be careful when parking, as there is not much available at the restaurant. The grottos pizza next door does not take kindly to people parking in their lot

Our entire family has been going to DiFebo’s since the 1990’s and recommending it to everyone we know all through the years. The food is just top notch and the chefs have always made vegan dishes for me while my wife ordered from the menu… The bar and wine offerings are great. All in all, this is a Bethany treasure. Prices are fair and the service is attentive.

We have been going to this restaurant for many years. The pasta is excellent. We haven’t loved the fish dishes or anything that isn’t pasta. The service can be inconsistent and the take out can be a little inconsistent as well. Overall we like their food and continue to go back.

Back this year. No more Osso Bucco but had a delicious veal scallopini. We had reservations & were seated immediately, with food promptly brought to the table. Staff was responsive, accommodating, great waiter. Some using the available outside seating. Big portions served. Great desserts.

We had breakfast for the first time. Three of us ordered omelettes. All of us reacted similarly and emphatically: they were dry, way overdone and tasteless. The staff was very cooperative and we ordered terrific alternatives: waffles with fruit, eggs with pancakes and a had absolutely delicious yogurt, fruit and granola.
The pancakes are light and fluffy and the waffles were delicious.
We ate outside in the courtyard– so pretty but a scene as we kept moving around the sun even as we were under the umbrella.

The amazing menu covered traditional Italian and seafood and meat and great deserts. The thing that separated this restaurant is their service.

Was looking for a good Italian restaurant while on vacation in Bethany, and I found it. My waitress was Stacy and she provided great service. The dining atmosphere was great and they even have a grotto-​style outdoor seating area. I had the orecchiette pasta with broccoli rabe and sausage. It was delicious. My wife had the chicken parm and my daughter the home made raviolis. Both were excellent. They have a delicious home-​made sauce (or red gravy).
I could not say anything negative about this place and I have high standards. They get busy, but it is worth the wait. Someone told me they take reservations and most places by the beach do not.

Had water dripping on us from the air conditioning during my entire meal. It literally soaked the table. We had an okay meal but it’s sooooo crowded that I’d rather go to a smaller place.
Ordered shrimp. Couldn’t finish more than one because the batter was too thick.

The kitchen staff is amazing & it was wonderful watching them work through the beautiful glass doors. The food was mind blowing. The wait staff was ok. I would come back in hopes my waiter was having a bad day.

Went for lunch, was extremely impressed by the service and the quality of everyone’s dish. Surprisingly they have some of the best onion rings we’ve ever tasted, and the deserts are all baked in house by a very pleasant server.
This restaurant is not strictly Italian, which makes it a good option for those who want something tasty but don’t necessarily want Americanized Italian cuisine. One person in our party did order meatballs as a side and was very happy. Everything I sampled was excellent, which does not usually happen when I go out.
I would not hesitate to return, and I will at least once more while I’m down here.

When we walked in the door, the host sat us to a table that was tightly squeezed in between two other crowded tables. Generally I wouldn’t have minded, but those two tables were the only tables in the restaurant at that time. He knew that it was a tight squeeze, and then proceeded to say «Hope you don’t mind sitting next to each other,» referring to the point that we would be unable to sit across from each other. Well, it was extremely awkward and we sat way too close to the other tables. I figured that they had a lot of reservations after mine, but they didn’t.
We ordered the Ahi Tuna Bruschetta appetizer, which was good. I couldn’t taste the peaches, and the Ahi Tuna was just a tad over cooked, it was advertised as rare. I wouldn’t knock them on that though, because I like my tuna very rare. Otherwise, it was a good appetizer and the serving size was plenty to share, $ 12. The bread was good, it came with oil and cheese, they only give you one piece and didn’t ask if we wanted more when waiting, so be sure to ask if you want more.
For dinner, we ordered the Spaghetti & Meatballs and the Orecchiette with Sausage and Broccoli Rabe. The meatball was one big meatball and it fell apart too much, to the point where it became just a meat sauce and was difficult to pick up in a piece. The sauce was good, though, $ 15. The orecchiette was way too oily; it was basically drowned in oil. The sausage and broccoli rabe was good, $ 18.
Dessert was good; we each ordered the passion fruit sorbet. Overall, the food was just okay, the service definitely could have been better.

My boyfriend and I went to Difebo’s as we saw it coming in to town and wanted a change from the greasy boardwalk food we’d been eating.
The place was surprisingly upscale. Maybe we had beach head but I definitely felt underdressed in jeans and a t shirt. We didn’t really know what we were in for, but had I known I would have put on a blouse or sundress.
The food is good, but pricey. A big pet peeve of mine is when Italian restaurants don’t serve their pasta dishes with a salad or side, as they didn’t here. I feel like if meat dishes get vegetables, I should be able to with pasta as well. Even more so, when I’m already paying $ 20+ dollars for the pasta dish, I shouldn’t have to dole out another $ 6 for a salad. Drinks are somewhat pricey too. The «special» sangria was $ 12. I thought maybe since it was advertised as a special and it was happy hour time at the bar it’d be a bit cheaper.
The food was nice, but for just a regular night out, not worth the price, in my opinion. I’d save it for a special occasion, where it would definitely do the trick.

Not as great as it once was but still very good. Portions are large and the food is decent.

My family loves difebos! I’ve been coming here for years. I came to this establishment for breakfast and I combined two meals together the classic Benedict and the smoked salmon toasted bagel. (toasted bagel, cream cheese, red onions, capers)
What I wanted was the bagel and everything included on the bagel with the Benedict eggs and holiday sauce. The waitress was very accommodating and polite about it :). The meal came out amazing with such a big proportion. I made breakfast and lunch out of it.
My boyfriend and I regularly get the Gorgonzola filet mignon here as well. I know right getting steak at a Italian place? It’s amazing!!! Best steak I’ve ever had. This time I tried the surf and turf which includes a crab cake. This is weird but best I ever had as well!
My boyfriend got a blue cheese martini so good he needed another! And I got the blueberry mascarpone bread pudding also very good.
The restaurant is a bit pricey but deffinantly worth a vaca treat! Last of all as your walking out the door in a food coma ;) the candy machine has chocolate covered coffee beans. I don’t recommend it for children but it’s so nice to see a candy michine with adult candy! And can come in handy getting you out of that food coma.

Absolutely our favorite Italian restaurant on Delmarva!
When I walk in the door and smell the red sauce, my mouth starts watering. They have a nicely varied menu, from pastas [of course], to meat and fish dishes, with interesting daily specials. My personal acid test, the gnocchi, are firm and flavorful without weighing on my stomach like balls of modelling clay. Everything is fresh. The vegetables have body and flavor. Even the bread tastes great. [Use the olive oil and pepper, Italian style.] Portions are appropriately sized, and we have never left feeling less than fully sated. Usually, it’s a struggle to save room for one of the sinful desserts.
The atmosphere is genial and comfortable, like your cozy neighborhood place on the corner. Walk-​ins are welcome, but reservations are helpful on prime occasions [Valentine’s Day, Mothers’ Day, that kind of thing] even for two. They have a covered patio, with heaters if necessary, for dining al fresco.
The bar is thorough, with seasonally featured cocktails and wines. If their own white sangria is available, get it! It’s wonderfully crisp with a slight sweetness; just the thing after a hot day.
The wait-​staff are cordial and attentive without hovering. There is parking on-​site. Prices are reasonable.
I highly recommend DiFebo’s to anyone who asks. It is well worth the hour+ drive [that’s in the off-​season] from our home. I can’t wait to try their new location in Rehoboth Beach.

I have dined there many times. It is our «go-​to» restaurant. The food is ALWAYS excellent. A waiter named Sergio is our favorite. He always goes out of his way to make us feel at home, and this goes for the entire staff.
I have taken many of our guests to DiFebo’s and to a person, they have all loved the food, drinks and service. I very highly recommend it.

The food is always amazing, no matter what you order (I did the penne pomodoro, heard raving reviews about the veal chop special). Good appetizers, great desserts (if they’re offering the peanut butter pie, order it!!)
Only downside is how crazy the place gets in-​season. Had to wait 15 minutes for our reserved table in the rowdy lobby, with all these other large parties and kids. LOUD restaurant, but the food makes up for the noise and the wait.
