History
Established in 1929.
Moore Coal Company was established in 1929 by James E Moore Sr as a retail-wholesale coal company. After World War II, James E Moore Jr directed the company into scrap metal, cardboard, and newspaper recycling. In 1969, as area municipalities no longer provided garbage services for business in their jurisdiction, MCC added commercial garbage to their list of services. Over the past 35 years, MCC has expanded their service territory and the types and sizes of containers. Now, the third and fourth generations of the Moore family work in the business providing many years of experience in all aspects of the industry.
