Honored an Expired 1 Year Warranty from 6 Years Ago.
Ethridge has installed and serviced units for our home since 2008, and they continue to provide the highest quality service in the industry. Recently, we had a service need on a Trane HVAC unit that Ethridge installed in 2009. Ethridge came to service the unit, and honored an expired 1 year service warranty from 2009. The matter was handled promptly and professionally. My family will continue to recommend and use Ethridge for all of our HVAC needs.

Not onboard with the positive reviews of this place. To summarize, a capacitor replacement will run you $ 280. A part that costs $ 8-​$ 15 retail and I am sure they get it even cheaper wholesale. The work to replace it after diagnosing? 5 minutes. Diagnostic time? About 40 minutes, but only because the technician started looking at the wrong unit at first and trying to troubleshoot that. Would have been much quicker otherwise. Only positive thing is that they diagnosed the problem correctly. Granted, a simple and common problem.
I called and complained, was not given any options for a refund of any portion of the cost and only got a sap story about how tough it is to run their business and how low the margins are. I don’t believe that for a second. They are charging people an insane amount of money per hour of work and you will be much better off going with their competitors. This company is a complete rip off. At the end of the day, I could care less what this margin is and want a reasonable part cost and hourly bill rate. I was not given that and ultimately could care less about how they run the business and what inefficiencies they may have. If you do simple math and subtract the cost of the part and the diagnostic fee, the rate was $ 185 to $ 200 for 5 – 10 minutes of actual work to replace the capacitor.

Ethridge Air is the model by which all businesses should be run.
We had to replace our air conditioner after 17 years and got 4 estimates, including one from our former installer/​repair company. Ethridge by far exceeded the other companies in every way. They had competitive pricing and were pleasant, reliable, efficient, the installation was professionally done and the system runs great. The written estimate with options was detailed and precise so there were no hidden surprises. I spoke to the owner several times during the process and he was responsive, interested and provided the information I needed to make a decision. They also had the best price on the 10 year warranty that I wanted and were the only company that offered a way to make interest free payments. They also tried to keep my old system running until the new one could be installed. I was a breath of fresh air to find this company and I highly recommend them.

While perusing some of my old reviews, I came across one for Ethridge and decided to post an update. Our AC eventually went the way of the dinosaur, so we chose to bite the bullet prior to suffering another summer and just pay for a replacement unit (we’d long given up on using the home warranty company); and due to our previous interaction with them, we decided to go with Ethridge to do the install. A single day’s work and the new unit was placed in the attic, the outdoor unit was set up cleanly and professionally on the side of the house, the new electronic thermostat was set up in the house, and everything about the unit was reiterated to us by the techs, leaving us with all of the knowledge we needed to know about it and the work done. Going with Ethridge was once again the absolute best choice we could’ve made. Now, months later, in the middle of a blistering summer, the unit is humming like a fine-​tuned sports car and the house has never felt more comfortable.
Again, Ethridge believes in good quality work and delivers without question. Can’t recommend them enough.
