McDonough’s Red Top

I have been eating here since I was a kid. I also worked at their sister location (Relish the Dog) during high school. Vienna beef hot dogs, super soft squishy buns, some of the best damn cheese sticks, pizza puffs, and shakes in town. They also have the thick french fries, soooo good. Oh, and if you get a slushy, they will mix flavors together for you. :)They are on the pricey side but the quality of food makes it worth it. Also, expect a wait during the lunch rush. This place is a local favorite.
There’s not really anywhere to sit inside as the whole building is about the size of my livingroom. During the warm weather there are tables set up outside. I usually end up getting my food to go as I live 5 minutes from here. It may appear dingy to outsiders as it is so small and can appear dark but I can assure you Mrs. McD runs a clean kitchen.
This place has been around for ages and the food is super yummy. Just be prepared to chat up Mrs. McD on whatever is going on in the neighborhood or in the news.
