History

Established in 1937.

Built as a butcher shop in 1907, the Friendly Tap was born in 1937 by adding a full length bar to the room to convert into a tavern business. Leaving in tact the original built in cooler and showcase stage which is still used today, except the cooler holds all the beer, and the stage hosts some of the finest local music in the land.

Meet the Business Owner

Rob P.

Business Owner

RobP was born a musican. Upon purchasing the Friendly Tap in 2007, he began to convert it to a music lovers and musician friendly home. Because of the success of this concept, he has developed some new businesses all surrounding the concept of embracing music and musicians in the surrounding communities. The Friendly School of Folk Music is the music school located above the bar. And the newest venture is the Friendly WIFI Lounge — located at the Friendly and serves the absolute finest coffee, tea, and espresso in a very comfortable environment.
