Benny’s has been on the corner of 26th and Oak Park for over 20 years. Its a place as a child my friends and I would bike to get out favorite gravy bread. It’s a great and where you get your pizza if you live local. They have seating inside but it’s nothing fancy so I wouldn’t plan on eating there. Gravy bread. Pizza. Go!

When we first started ordering from here a year ago, I would have given them 5 stars. Not sure why I did not review them then. We would always order our pizza well done, weather picking it up or having it delivered, it was always well done as asked. On a recent delivery the pizza was nowhere near well done, the dough was still raw. Since we had good experience w/them previously, took it as a fluke and called them and they delivered another one that was at least closer to well done. Since then we have ordered five more times for either pick up or delivery asking for pizza well done, ALL5TIMES it was not well done. Well done means should have a crispy crusty and the cheese should be brown. Most of the time we have gotten an undercooked pizza. Don’t know why Benny’s is having issues making a well done pizza, because you did great previously. Maybe stop rushing our pizza ANDACTUALLYMAKEITWELLDONE? Well guess what, if you cannot make our pizza well done, WEAREDONEORDERINGFROMBENNY’S. Too bad, we would rather support a local business than a chain, but back to Domino’s it is.

Good pizza. Lots of topping options. And I really like the crust. Haven’t had anything else from the menu, but the pizza is solid.

Benny’s is awesome! We visit ChiTown annually and always take back at least 4 – 6 par-baked sausage pizzas. They are always very accommodating with our orders(which are generally day before or same day). We have never dined in, it’s always been take out so I don’t have a clue about inside. Now that we’re closer(western PA vs south FL) I look forward to visiting(and eating) more often! Yyaayyy!

Awesome pizza, awesome sandwiches, awesome pasta, awesome appetizers. I love this place! I was introduced by my fiancé who used to live out that way. It’s a fun weekend drive for us, about 70 miles round trip, to grab food, and eat half of it in the car on the way back home. Yum!

Easily the best pizza in the area. Affordable with a ton of cheese and the thick crust is unbelievable. Their toasted raviolis and mozzarella sticks are great but lately have started tasting fishy. They only lose one star because most of the people who answer the phone are ultra rude and quick to hang up. Could get the star back if they started offering online ordering.

Good pizza. What else can I say? There are lots of pizza options in the area, but this is a good pie. Try the sausage.

Their pizza taste good. I do enjoy it. But they do not strive to make the customer happy. So because of poor customer service they get 2 stars. All I wanted was bacon diced on my pizza and they could not take a moment to cut up the bacon smaller. Last time I got the bacon they were big pieces and all fatty. I rather have it cut into smaller pieces and their response was they could not cut it. So downs for lack of customer service

If you’re looking for ambience Bennys is not the place but if you’re looking for hands-down the best pizza in Chicago or for that fact the best I’ve had coast-to-coast. Then Benny’s has to be your choice. A Berwyn family owned and run staple for over 40 years and going strong. This isn’t your Chicago deep dish or the tortilla thin pizza wanna-be’s nor the mass produced plastic out there. It’s the perfect crust, zesty sauce, real cheese and some of the best sausage toppings. My only ask would be that they build a second location farther out west where good pizza is sorely lacking. But then again it does give me a good excuse to visit my hometown coming from downtown and pickup to bring home to the family. If you call ahead they can par bake one or even freeze you a couple. If you pick one up fully baked I’ve got $ 100 that says you won’t make it home before sampling :)

Benny’s is a decent pizza, needs a little more sauce but probably the best thin pizza now in Berwyn area.

Although Benny’s has great pizza their delivery program is for shit. The thing is, the owner is a very cool and good at customer service. I’m writing this review to notify him of what’s been going on all these years. I’m tired of apologies or credits to my account. Something needs to be done about their delivery program. I’ve been ordering from them since I was 23 years old. Now I’m 38. They always tell you that the delivery will be there between 45 minutes to an hour. I used to deliver pizzas in Oak Park. Typically when they dispatch deliveries 2 or 3 to a guy, the closest home gets delivered to first. I live six minutes away from them. Not once in the last 15 years has the order gotten to my house in less than 58 minutes. They are professionals it getting the delivery there between 58 minutes and 60 minutes. All their delivery guys are pieces of shit! The management is even worse for never correcting this problem. The shame of it all is that they are my favorite pizza place. However I’m forced not to order from them unless I want to pick it up which is never. Eff you Bennys and your«management» team!

I don’t care how non-people friendly they are when I call them. I mean, As the phone is ringing, the guy picks up so quick and he’s pretty much yelling: «BENNY’S!» «OKWHATDOYAWANT?» «OKWHEREWEGOING» «OKAY24.95» «OKIT’LLBEANHOUR» –Click– Their pizza is the best in this city of Berwyn. They blow Paisans out of the water, DiNicos, Anythony’s, Falcos — pffft. They have crispy crust, lots of cheese, great sauce, and the more toppings the better! Honestly, never have ordered anything else but the pizza, not sure about the appetizers or beef. The only thing I wish they did was get on GrubHub so then I don’t even have to bother the loud guy on the phone. I can sit in bed and just wait for it to arrive.

We are a Falco’s pizza family but we just moved in to our new place and decided to try something new. We got a Benny’s menu when we moved in so we ordered at 5:57 and it took them over an hour and a half to get it to us. I had to call them to check on it and they had the nerve to say«you just ordered 30 minutes ago, it will get there soon», the driver shows up 8 minutes later.(We live about 5 minutes from there). The pizza is not that great, and they forgot part of our order. Probably won’t order again. …

I love me some Benny’s! This place has been a Berwyn staple fahever! It’s just a solid pizza place with the obligatory Italian pastas, beef sandwiches and fried chicken on the menu to please the folks of Cicero and Berwyn. We always order the pizza with hot gardiniere as a topping. They don’t skimp on toppings and I like their sauce. It’s not sweet at all which is a pet peeve of mine with pizza sauce. I’m not a toddler and I can handle a sauce with some oomph and spice! They have some of the lamest specials though I have to say. If you buy 20 pizzas and save the coupon on the pizza box, you will get $ 4.00 off your 21st pizza. Yep, no screaming deal here! You can eat in but it’s not much, just a few tables. Order for delivery or pick it up. I love institutions like this. Family owned and a mainstay in good old Berwyn.

Pizza is great but don’t plan on eating there. I get delivery or take out. Crust is not too thick or too thin. Order extra sauce it is the best!

Wow… what a difference 2 years makes. I used to live in Berwyn and ALWAYS ordered Bennys every week. I moved and came back to visit my sisters house and told them ordering Bennys was a MUST! We ordered 2 beef sandwiches dipped a family pizza and the fried ravioli. The beef was TERRIBLE. we asked for it dipped it was DRYNOFLAVORATALL! Sweet peppers were the green peppers they put on the pizza steamed and limp. When we called back to say the parmesan cheese and hot peppers were missing we were told in a sarcastic patronizing tone«You need to ask for it» we said we did its on the receipt we were told hang on and then hung up on. We called back asked for a manager and the same rude guy said I am the manager you didn’t ask for it. So instead of arguing with an idiot I am posting my DISGUST. The food quality is NOTTHEREANYMORE!
