Stopped in after doing some hiking in the area. Not sure if my review is skewed from the hiking munchies. Personally, I love dive BBQ places so it fit the bill and we were starving. Quick and friendly service. Food was exactly what I was looking for. Pulled pork was solid. Good slaw, nice sauce, not too much, not too sweet and the fries were good. Also had a side of mac and cheese which I could have eaten two of. We polished our containers clean. I’ll gladly return here as the price was perfect, it was nothing fancy which is great for two nasty hikers, and it just is one of those kinds of places where you know you are going to leave with a happy stomach.

My husband and I have been here several times over the past year. Their pulled pork is solid — not the best I’ve ever had, but really good. Their collard greens are perfect. It’s so hard to find good collard greens.

I have to give Mr. B’s Barbeque two stars on principle. Any establishment that openly microwaves your food does not deserve more than two stars. I ordered the beef brisket sandwich with coleslaw. After ordering, one of the employees walked out of the kitchen with a plate of brisket, looked me in the eye and put it in the microwave. He stood there while it heated up and then slapped it on a bun. Come on! At least TRY to maintain the illusion that my food was prepared just for me and not heated up in a microwave. That being said the sandwich wasn’t terrible, but it certainly wasn’t great.

This is a decent roadside BBQ with all the normal menu items you would find at a southern BBQ stand. I had the Pulled Pork Sandwich and Cajun fries and everything was pretty tasty at a decent price. I’d stop again if I was in the area.

I’ve been to Mr’ B’s a number of times when they were in White Post. I finally got a chance to try their new location last Sunday, February 26. The ambiance hasn’t changed; still a «pit» but luckily neither has the food. Their ribs are still«fall off the bone» tender. The beans are nothing special, Campbell’s from the flavor, but the slaw is homemade and very tasty. The corn muffin has just the right amount of sweetness without being sickly sweet or too bland. Don’t expect hot drinks though. I rode there on my Harley and it was 39 degrees in Berryville. I was looking for a cup of coffee to go along with lunch, but ended up with Mountain Dew instead. Oh well, at least it had caffeine.

I have driven past this place a few times and never stopped. I finally got the opportunity to try it out. I ordered the pull pork sandwich with coleslaw on it, also a side of fries. I will say this for the price, you get a good amount of meat on your bun. Flavor wise, it was pretty good, it was mild, and moist. Their sauce is already mixed into the meat. I’m sort of a purist, I like to add the sauce myself. I think the sauce covers up the flavor of the meat, but that is me. What can you do? The fries are nothing to get excited about. I’d go back for another pulled pork. Next time I’ll try the ribs. The employees in there are very friendly. I wish this place was closer to my house, we don’t have too many choices for BBQ near my place. There are a few tables inside to eat, but most people i saw, came in for take out. The prices seemed very reasonable. As Arnold would say,“I’ll Be Back”.

Mr. B moved from White Post to Berryville in early 2011. It is still a good place to get a lunch or dinner take out, The cole-slaw and bake beans are marvelous. The pork barbecue is also first rate. The ribs are generally quite good although I have had some on occasion that didn’t quite make the grade,
