Description

Specialties

Honey Hill Farm provides animal rentals to events such as birthday parties, festivals and educational school programs. Other customers include libraries, senior centers, company picnics, and church VBS and Christmas and Easter programs.

When you call to inquire about our services, we will ask you some basic questions about your event, and then help you decide what types of animals would best fit your needs and budget.

Honey Hill Farm began primarily as a birthday party company that offered hand led ponies and small, farm-themed petting zoos. But with growing demand, we have added services such as the extra large petting zoo, exotic animals, indoor petting zoos, and large pony carousels.

No matter what type of event you are planning, you will receive the benefits of excellent customer service, quality, happy, interactive animals, and professional staff. We are USDA licensed, fully insured, and accredited by the Better Business Bureau.

Our two farm locations (Northern, KY and Central OH) are closed to the public. We travel to all of Kentucky and Ohio.

Check us out on Facebook or Twitter or get to know some of our animals at Cedar Point’s Barnyard or Kings Island’s Planet Snoopy.

History

Established in 1998.

Honey Hill Farm was founded by Sally Powell with just one pony named «Dolly.»

While some people tease her that she only started the company as an excuse for hoarding animals, the reality is that she had always dreamed of having a business that allowed her to work with children and animals.

Growing up in the very urban Covington, KY, Sally had very little access to the animals (especially horses) that she loved so much.

Her favorite day of the year was the annual family reunion, when a local man would drop off a couple of horses for the children to ride. Sally would ride over and over and even eat her lunch with them.

As a young adult, Sally moved to the country and bought her first horse. She and her children were active in showing horses and 4-H for year, but when they began to outgrow it, she allowed herself to dwell on her dream of starting a business that would benefit children just like she was.

When she retired from US Air in 1998, Honey Hill Farm was born.

Business Owner

Originally from Covington, KY, Sally has lived in rural Pendleton County, KY for her entire adult life. Her work allows her constant access to animals.

Sally’s dream of starting a business that would provide access to animals to city kids who would not normally get to experience them is the foundation on which Honey Hill Farm still sits.
