Specialties

We offer a fun selection of craft beers, including a make-​your-​own 6-​pack cooler, a growing selection of wine (common and uncommon), a small produce area and market items. Each week we’re bringing in new items. Freshly prepared foods include pizza, calzones, wings, sandwiches and salads. Our menu will also be expanding!

History

Established in 2015.

We opened The Neighbor’s Shoppe in August, 2015 and are making improvements and adding new products every week!

This place ALWAYS has last minute items that I need. I have challenged them and they always win. From soup stock to brown sugar, they have it. The beer selection is AMAZING and it always takes me an hour to figure out what I want. They will also sell you homemade pizza dough and small pizza sides if you want to have a make your own pizza night.
Bottom line, I wish nothing but success for our little corner store.

Great place to pick up beer and wine, snacks, or some basic grocery items. The take and bake pizza is excellent, far better than delivery. The crust was crispy, sauce was not too sweet and cheese was generous. A fresh mushroom option would be nice, but the toppings are good. Support your neighbors and shoppe here!

I stopped in recently after reading so many good things on the Nextdoor social media app. I love that they took a convenience store and place that was — let’s face it — pretty generic and dated, and turned it into something unique for our community. The owners are nice and so eager to offer good service. It’s clear that they take great pride in this place and it makes me want to be a regular patron. It shows that’s there’s really no «magic» to running a business like this — just some passion, hard work, and commitment to excellence. Speaking of excellence, the reason I stopped and was to pick up one of their ready-​to-​bake pizzas and a 6-​pack. When they handed it over, I’ll admit that I was a little underwhelmed at first. That changed pretty quickly, though. I popped it in the oven, shared it with my wife, and we both were pleasantly surprised at how great it was. We’ll definitely be back!

I randomly stopped in to see what this place was all about a couple of weeks ago, and I walked out with a couple of semi-​limited IPA’s. I finally got back today to try the pizza, and I was blown away. The crust has the perfect texture — chewy and soft at the same time. The sauce is the perfect balance of letting the tomato shine and spices. The toppings were fresh and used in the perfect amount. We also got their breadsticks, which were delicious as well. The owners were working this morning, and they were pleasant and helpful. All this to say that I will be back — this is my go to pizza spot from now on.

I had an opportunity to stop at this little local neighborhood market on my way home last night and boy am I glad that I did. They have incredibly friendly service and their pizza was absolutely delicious. If you’re looking for beer or wine or if you ran out of milk this is a great shop to go to while in Berkley Michigan.

Stopped in this shop to check it out and see their selection. They have a great beer selection and a perfect wine selection for a corner store (ie big selection in ~$ 10 bottles, perfect for when you need to grab a couple bottles for dinner).
They have the food selection you’d expect in a convenience store but taken up a notch, with some fresh staples (garlic, fruit, etc). I’m sure this section will continue to evolve as the business finds it’s sweet spot.
Most importantly the owner and staff were extremely friendly. They even delivered my beer and wine to my door as I walked back with the dog :)
Like another reviewer said, I will gladly pay a couple dollars extra (and continue to shop there) because of the customer service. Excited to see this place grow and to try their pizza next time!

Stopped by today, I had heard a lot of buzz about the new store. I can not believe this is the same place! Lots of options to choose from. Clean, neat, organized and easy to find items. Came here Saturday night just to play my lotto. Realized the stored had changed ownership so hoping they still did lottery. The owner of the shop was putting out delicious looking pizzas. She was very kind and helpful. I can tell that they want to actually build a connection with their patrons.
I loved the new look of the place. It made it more trendy and modern. This sets it apart from your average quick stop shop. I will definitely continue to give my business to this location.
