Watch Lab

I was recently screened and approved to participate in a focus group on TVs in Berkeley for Watchlab. For weeks leading up to the day of participation, I was lead to believe I would be paid $ 120. for my time. Then, just a few hours before I was due to show up, they phone me and say I would not be paid that day, but would have to fill out an additional online survey after the focus group in order to be paid anything.
I informed them I was not interested. Then they said they would go ahead and pay me $ 60. in person and another $ 60. for filling out the online survey from home after the date of in person participation.
I did do that, and followed their instructions to the letter, but they never sent the additional $ 60.
I would recommend you avoid Watchlab as they did not follow through on their promise nor the agreed upon terms.

Guys — be careful of these folks. I was scheduled for a focus group with them, then they called to cancel. Then, they called me for another focus group. Again cancelled. This activity occurred within 30 days. I hope it was just an anomaly. However, red flags are up.
