I like this place! The people are all really nice and helpful. They have loads of different things here, nice teas and herbs if you need something of the sort. Recommended stop!

At first I was thrown off by the animal parts, such as needles and horns; although, they really have good stuff. There’s oils, teas, and even some crystals.
What really shined for me was the costumer service. I believe her bame was Sarah, but she was a delight! She was informative to people about what would help em most and had a super good energy about her, which would be the reason I return.
They are a bit pricey, so be prepared to spend about 20 bucks.

This is an amazing place! It is small but so well organized, and so well thought out you get a lot bang for your buck.
The beautiful crystals and trinkets are very, very reasonably priced, I was pleasantly surprised after being in a shop in marin two days ago and the prices were two times as much.
The best part was the girl at the front. She was sweet, sunny, and so familiar with their inventory, and spent time explaining the set up of the store since it was my first time in. She also spent a good deal of time providing suggestions for many questions I had as to what herbs to try for particular issues I was looking for.
I am Christmas shopping here for friends and family. Who doesn’t love a crystal and something so heartfelt and thoughtful as something herbal to make you feel lovely and well?!
Great store, I wish I lived closer it would be a very frequent stop for me.

This place is a rare, welcome revival of offbeat 60’s Telegraph Avenue; it’s staffed
by mostly personable young women mellowed out on the store’s
(entirely lawful) product; and it’s a great place to discover
fine herbs that can enhance your life in various ways from energy & concentration to sexual
desire to just euphoria when you need to mellow out yourself. It’s not a great place
to keep buying those herbs once you find out which ones work for you, because you
can get them online for an average of 35% of what Twisted Thistle charges.

I always enjoy coming into Twisted Thistle. It smells really nice, they have a variety of products, and the staff are always super friendly toward me. The staff are also able to answer any questions I have about the products. Everything is pre-​packaged with neat stickers that explain the product’s usage. Some of their products are pretty expensive and I have found cheaper options online but I still like purchasing a lot of goodies from them.
EDIT: Came here a few days ago and they have made some changes to the shop. They carry an assortment of healing crystals now which is awesome! I really love the new look of the place.

I just had the most demeaning, embarrassing, and rude thing happen to me at this place. I don’t know if it has new management with the name change but in the past 3 years that I’ve been coming here I was never treated disresptfully. Tonight, that changed. Whoever the girl was working tonight (in an empty store) stopped in the middle of helping me… literally stopped in mid question from me… to help to guys who came in to get a license for marijuana. She not only gave one whatever he wanted but walked past me and started helping the other guy as I stood there mouth agape like «did you just completely disregard and walk away from me to help those guys that just walked in»? I walked out and said «you know what, don’t worry about it“‘ to which she replied «I’m sorry» AND KEPT HELPING THEM. I stopped at the door and said «that was actually REALLY rude» to which replied shrugging her shoulders «I’m sorry»…
I hope management/​the owners read this because you just lost a longtime Cal Alumni customer.

Friendly and very knowledgeable. They’ve elevated my smoking experience and helped me enjoy even better quality time with my man. I’d say that’s worth a visit to the shop. Highly recommend Blue Lotus as a smoking addition to your bowl of Kali. Peace and Enjoy!

Very cool! Even though it’s a small shop, I felt like I could have spent hours in there looking at everything. They have everything from Pink Floyd-​themed decks of cards to herbs for your immune system (and any other type of need you could have). While their selection isn’t necessarily low-​priced for what it is, you can still walk out of there with a great purchase for under $ 10. It’s like a more exciting version of Lhasa Karnak. The employees are also helpful and nice, and not pushy or in-​your-​face which is great.

I can not imagine why anyone would write a poor review for HHH. The people own these two local shops are amazing. They care about their customers, their employees are some of the sweetest people, and they have products you can’t get anywhere else. Sure some things are sold at premium prices, but you’re paying for the quality of the experience of shopping there. Love this place.

My boyfriend got me Kava Kava from this place and a bag that contained maybe 5 servings was 10 dollars. I can get 150 bags of kava tea on Amazon for 21 dollars. Like, really? And you think, well maybe one serving is extremely potent. Nope. Less relaxation and stress relief effects than 1 bag of cheap Yogi kava tea. I also tried calling and they had different hours on their answering machine (which it goes to if they’re busy… Leave a message at a retail store?) than they actually have.

Love happy high! Sweetest folks ever. Always super informative and helpful, nice selection of hoops, staffs, contact balls and all other things flow related. Love their Kratom selection and «Nervous System Reset.» They have a nice stamp card like your local sandwich shop or whatever… Five stars

Very lax staff almost on the verge of unprofessional. Came here with a list of herbs during business hours to a «Will be Right Back» sign on the door. When they returned they had only one thing on my list and talked my 27 yr old girlfriend into getting a tincture for menopause!
When I got home I went to give them a call about the Wild Yam confusion and got an answering machine. I’m sure the «Will be Right Back» sign get’s good use…
I was surprised to find this herb store is mostly novelty, and in my opinion, not for the serious herbalist. They sell items seemingly geared towards college kids looking for a legal high and don’t seem the least bit knowledgeable about anything else.

This place is awesome! First off the service was top notch. The owner knew everything and answered every little thing I asked. He has tremendous knowledge and he is running a business that helps people in many ways lol. The place isn’t cluttered and everything is labeled for their purposes. There are different kinds of herbs and they have books that describe what they are. My gf and I purchased the damiana which is used for tea but can be smoked. It helps reduce stress, that extra hit from weed… which I don’t do, and other stuff like hangovers and for libido increase LOL. I also enjoyed reading the many books about eastern style medicine and the way people in different countries utilize herbs as alternative medications! I will be coming back and will try different stuff that I’m interested in.
