A friend and I stopped here on a Saturday for lunch. One customer was eating at a table. We walked in to one female employee sitting on the counter next to the register. She quickly jumped off the counter. We stood at the spot designated and no one offered to serve us for quite some time. Even my friend asked me, why aren’t they helping us? The 2 employees were talking to each other. The male employee finally asked to take our order and was friendly and courteous while he competed our orders. Other customers entered. The female employee displayed a lot of «attitude» and seemed unprofessional. She was also very slow to help the next customer even though she wasn’t doing anything. While our orders were being competed, I noticed the sweatshirt the female was wearing had a diagram on the back of 2 hands displaying the middle finger. It was shocking to see an employee of a business wearing a sweatshirt like that. We felt very uncomfortable and as a result took our order to go even though we planned on eating there. The food was fine and I love going to Togo’s but we won’t go back to this Togo’s.

Worst sandwich ever!!! Yuk! I had the turkey avocado. All it had was turkey, mustard and stale avocado spread that was brown and tasted nasty. And it only had a few pieces of turkey on it. I was wondering where the other part of the sandwich was, i.e., the lettuce, tomato, cheese? I remember someone asking about produce, is that the other words for lettuce and tomato? I guess so. I had never heard that question posed in making a sandwich before, so I said no. WTF Togos? On top of that it was expensive, almost 7 dollars for a nasty sandwich. I could have gone and gotten a real deli sandwich with all the good ingredients that doesn’t skimp on the meat. I will never come here again and I would never recommend a sandwich from this place to anyone.

Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me. Second visit when he restaurant is closed during regular business hours. First time employees were inside chatting it up, one sitting on the food prep counter. Today — lights off, no sign. If this is the commitment the franchisee has for the business, it’s time to revoke the license.

I had a pleasant experience! The two gentlemen in the front were quiet, but very nice! I got the special sandwich of the day. A FAT meaty 6″ sandwich and a large drink for $ 5.10? Don’t mind if I do! I think I’ll be coming here from now on instead of Subway. Service is a little slow, but that’s because they seem to be super attentive to what you want in your order. It’s nice not feeling like you’re being too rushed to get in and out. I came here originally to get the santa fe chicken wrap, but they ran out of the sauce that gets mixed in with it? A little surprising around lunch time area so, that was probably the only thing that disappointed me… anyway, hopefully I can get that wrap next time!

This location is a hit or miss deal. The servers aren’t the most efficient and the food(bread, wraps, meats, guac) tends to run out half way before the day ends. Some of the customer service of some employees are genuine whereas others(newbies) can use some serious LISTENING and people skills. As a regular at this location, I have come to find enunciation is key and you must remind the server multiple times what your order is and what is included in the order. At this location they do get a tad bit stingy on allocating the ingredients inside the sandwich/salad/wrap. I would advise to keep a weather eye so you don’t get ripped off!

Walking by I decided to stop quickly and grab a bite to eat. the moment I open the door I notice the girl Behind the counter picking at something on her arm. She immediately jumps. and says how can I help you. She then reaches into a box of gloves pulls out a bunch. Puts two on. And puts the rest back. she NEVER washed her hands. She contaminated the entire box, touched the outside of the gloves after picking a scab. And then put them on to make my sandwich. I let her know immediately why I wouldn’t eat. she then began washing her hands as a i walked out. I won’t be eating here. If this is how their food safety protocol is INFRONT of customers. Imagine what’s going on in the back. Gross.

I did it, I was THAT guy. I came in close ish to closing and I ordered a sandwich and Lexis was such a sweetheart. She made what might have been one of the best sandwiches… of all times and she kept reassuring me that it was okay that I was there so late when I told her I felt bad. She also saved me money by offering me the special, and you know what. it was pretty damn great.

Go into Togo’s at 745pm on Monday 3÷2÷15 to order Triple Dip Sandwich… only to be told that they STOP selling HOTFOOD1 hour and 15 mins before they close. That is some of the worst service I have ever scene at a Togo’s. More like you don’t want to do anymore cleaning before you close. I wonder how that would work at my job if I told Customers that we stopped serving people over an hour before they close. They lost $ 12 dollars and a customer for life because they stop doing hot food an hour before they close. They must be racking in the money to be able to turn customers business away.

went there for the first time today and completely loved it. Everyone was really sweet and talkative. & my sandwhich was perfect and filling. Subway has absolutely nothing on Togos. I am indeed a new and happy customer: D

The worst customer service, period. So much fucking attitude for no reason and they charge extra for everything, even for a water cup. Sandwiches are okay though.

I have been going to TOGO’s regularly since I was a kid, even seeking them out because I love the fresh ingredients and portions. I have been to probably 50 different stores over the years. The problem with this location is the staff. They are very obviously lazy and inept. Whoever hired this bunch of yahoos needs to be shown the door along with the lot of them. Investing in quality, mature employees would pay great dividends in this location. The excitement I felt when I saw this store arrive a few months ago fell away when I entered the store and was discouraged by the staff conduct. My recommendation is to go a few doors down and try Sandwich Spot until the owner replaces the staff at TOGO’s.

The sandwiches are pretty good at Togo’s. At first, I expected the place to be Subway by a different name, but the quality of the ingredients is much better at Togo’s. I would still rank them below a place like Quizno’s though. My go-to Togo sub is the Clubhouse which has bacon and turkey on sourdough bread. Togo’s obviously has a script that it’s employees must follow with customers. They greet you when you enter the store, ask you how your day is going when they make your sandwich, and then say goodbye to you as you leave. While I appreciate the sentiment from the company, I don’t really like the practice. While some employees are genuinely very outgoing, some employees seem like they are just going through the motions. Frankly, I just want my sandwich. If I wanted to chat with an employee, I would initiate it. I hate when both of us are being forced into small talk that neither of us really want to be a part of. Sometimes good customer service is realizing that your customer just wants a sandwich and not an experience. There is supposedly a student discount. I’m not sure how much it is though. Once, I got my meal discounted 10%. Another time, it was 7 cents, and another time it was nothing. I realize I spent most of the review talking about negative things, but overall I like Togo’s. The sandwiches are good, the ingredients are fresh, and the prices are okay.

The negative reviews for this location have me baffled. I’m not sure why anyone would go out of there way to talk smack about a sandwich shop. Anyways, I have consistently received fantastic customer service here and obviously togo’s subs are great. Miles needs a raise or a promotion because it seemed like he really cared about my experience and went out of his way to provide great service…

Sandwiches are good but the service sucks. Both times I have gone in there there have been 2 – 3 people waiting as well. And there were 4 people behind the counter not helping anyone just going about there business. It took about 15min. for me to get helped and get my sandwich. But points for the cutie who flirted with me.

The five stars are for Nicole who made me the BEST # 5 I’ve had in a long time. If I could give negative stars I would because both the Unilocal and on-line say the restaurant is open until 11pm. Nicole told me that they close at 7 pm because sales are slow. Well, if this is true change the time on-line and on Unilocal to reflect accurate closing times.

Wish I had checked Unilocal before going to Togo’s. Had a mediocre soup and salad combo. They didn’t ring me up and I stopped so I could pay. They had me wait and then treated me like I was the one doing something wrong when they finally ran my card. Once is more than enough — will never come back again.

The sandwiches are fine, but I ordered online and when I got to the store, I found out they never received my order. The woman working explained they hang been receiving online orders all day. Well, that would’ve been nice to know… So I had to go to the back of the line and wait to order. My quick lunch break turned into a long one. Ugh…

Only 1 other review here — this place isn’t bad! Got a turkey avocado sandwich here, and by checking in on Unilocal, you can get a free 20oz drink. Not bad. Came here because we were in a rush and it was the closest place next to the Berkeley Bart station. Otherwise, admittedly, there are plenty of better places to eat in Berkeley.

What a joke. Called and no one answered so I ordered online for pickup. When I got there, a bunch of kids were hanging out– I mean working there and they forgot to pick my order up off the printer. They apologized and started my order but when I got home, 2 out of the 3 sandwiches were missing lettuce, pickles and sauce. The bread on one of them split and the sandwich was a mess. I used to love Togos!:(I’m thinking the problem is with who they hired to work there)
