So i read many of these positive reviews about them and decided to check them
was very easy to locate the store, has an eye catching board. The lady at the store was very helpful. she asked me what kind of bag i was looking for and walked us around and showed different kind of bags and accessories. I was looking for a cross body bag but i ended up picking a convertible bag. I am very happy about the purchase, the bag i bought can be made a backpack/crossbody/shoulder.They have a large collection of trendy bags and there price are amazing. Go check it out.

ok, this place gets an automatic star b/​c I am constantly in there with my 9 year old daughter, who paws their thousand dollar Mary Frances beaded & bedazzled handbags. 9 times out of 10 she oogles for a while & we leave without a purchase, but they are always super friendly & attentive.
they get another star for having tons of stylish vegan purses! I’m not into canvas, I’d rather have the fake leather– that makes them affordable… but also a little buyer beware: they just don’t hold up like their dead cow counterparts. but if I am only paying $ 50 for a trendy bag I will probably only be into for 6 months & would have set me back at least $ 150 (and some serious karma points) in the cow version… I’m OK w/​that!

This place is super girly and super trendy. It is like one of those $ 10.00 stores in the mall that threw-​up accessories, purses, handbags galore all over.
They have all types of flashy purses and dog carriers too. I love their selection of scarves, wallets and purses holders. I have purchased several purses here and everywhere I went woman would ask me.“‘where did you get your bag?‘
I have told everyone I know about the place because everything is so affordable! However you get what you pay for.
I have not got back since my last spree because I felt unappreciated that they didn’t keep my information or sales history so they could see that I was a regular client. Granted I paid different ways each times I came; be it cash, credit cards, check or my husband’s card. They also don’t offer a referral program, so I was ticked off that I sent so many customers to them and they didn’t even care. They also had a Groupon once that I got suckered into and it was very misleading and disappointing.

lining tore out.
I stopped into the store and showed the bag to to the salesperson but all I got in return was an apology. She was very polite, but didn’t offer an exchange or refund.
I know that manufacturing defects are unavoidable, but I prefer better customer service when they happen. Sorry Fickle Bag, I won’t be returning.

Had some cute, good quality purses. Definitely an array of styles… any one a SATC fan? Remember when Carrie tells Big ‘I Love You’ for the first time, when he gives her that HIDEOUS ugly ugly purse. its like some sort of bird encrusted with jewels. So yeah they sell those here. But they also sell normal purses too, wallets, and clutches.

I love this shop! I am visiting from AZ and have never seen such cute bags at reasonable prices, and Mary Francis bags as the icing on the cake!

Got my current favorite bag at the Fickle Bag. The woman who helped me was not the owner but was very knowledgeable and helped me pick out a bag that I now love. It’s in a lovely upscale shopping area in Berkeley. The lay out is inviting and beautiful, as are the colors inside the store. Everything appealed to me. My new bag is red with chrome hardware and I probably wouldn’t have known to pick it out on my own, but the woman who helped me decide knows her stuff. I appreciated her help. It’s a very stylish red bag and it goes wonderfully with everything I have as a signature piece.

this place has AMAZING stuff. The owner was super super nice and helpful. However, I wish the stuff was of higher quality, it seems that it would wear down in a few months pretty quickly. The prices ARE incredible, but i wish for an extra $ 10, I could get a few more months wear out of the stuff. Over all, it gets a grade of A from me, A+ if the quality were better.

If you love handbags, shop at this store. They have so many affordable, fun, trendy bags, and plenty of choices if you’re in the mood for something a little different from your run-​of-​the-​mill black shoulder bag.

I wanted to write a review regarding the wonderful service I got from Jua. I was looking for a particular bag that I had seen in a pic. She was very attentive. She knew exactly what bag it was and when they got more, she contacted me directly. Even shipped it when I could not get into the store! I will definitely make this store one of my favorites. And bring in family/​friends too. The bags are beautiful and the prices are very reasonable.

What a great find! Where do I begin? The shop is small however, it’s filled with many fun things. If you are a purse/​bag lover (which my family — we definitely fall into this category); or if you like shopping in smaller boutique style shops (which we also fall into this category); or if you are looking for a nice gift (again…yes this includes us too) this is a place you need to check out.
Let’s start with the purses/​bags — they have many different styles for various different age groups. You’ll find shoulder purses, clutch styles, short handled, long handled; canvas, nylon, leather and more; there’s diaper bags for both mommy’s and ones even daddy’s won’t be embarrassed to carry; purses for the more conservative to the funky to the advant garde. I would be surprised if you didn’t find a purse/​bag within your price range because most of them are under $ 60.00 and well made. They also carry travel bags if you are taking an overnight trip or a long weekender.
They carry different styles of wallets and purse accessories too. In fact, when I visited their website, I saw that they carry purse hooks (you know those gadgets you carry in your purse that allows you to hang your purse from a table when in a restaurant or bar so you don’t have to hang it on the back of a chair only to have to pick it up numerous times after people knock it off as they walk by…). I’ve been shopping for one of these for awhile now and I have only seen ones that are too expensive or gawdy. I got one here for $ 13.00 and it’s cute, simple and doesn’t take up much space in your purse; in fact it comes with a velvety pouch. The purse hook is what gave me more of an incentive to shop here.
They also carry a nice variety of scarves at very reasonable prices. I plan on going back to purchase several of these throughout the year for gift as well as other things they have.
The owner and staff member, Monica, are both very friendly and fun. We enjoyed our visit even more so because of the pleasant atmosphere they have in their store. I’m sure you’ll find something to indulge yourself in. I tell you… affordable, variety, nice ambiance… what more could we ask for in a shopping experience!

This is a new shop on Solano. I like the owner’s taste. I found several bags I wanted to buy, and the price is very reasonable. If you are looking to drive to the city, or a far place to find purses, just stop by here real quick and you will know what we are talking about.

What a delight to walk into what looks like an upscale women’s purse/​bag shop and find an assortment of lovely, fun, trendy, classic and functional bags for any occasion — and all reasonably priced. From whimsical to work-​duty, this little shop at the top of Solano is a great place to find a nice gift, a nifty new purse for yourself, or just to browse. I was particularly taken by the owner’s mission statement, posted in the window, which basically says she wants to make all those things I mentioned above available to everyone at reasonable prices. Small gifties, scarfs and a few accessories round out the inventory. On my visit, the salesperson was a friend of the owner, and she was very nice, helpful and friendly. Overall a big a+++ coming from a person who rarely steps foot in such a place for fear of sticker shock … Here, you can buy an awesome purse for $ 30 — $ 70, with a few extraordinary ones going up to the triple digits, but easily worth what they cost. Can’t wait until I actually need a new bag so I can browse as a buyer rather than a window-​shopper.

An innocent trip to Cactus turned into a shopping expedition when I discovered the store was finally open! In a «how much is that doggie?» moment, I actually ended up buying one of the purses out of the window.

I stopped in to this stylish store prepared to browse-​but-​not-​touch, so that I could go buy a bag at a more affordable place. But not the case. Even the large totes are around $ 40, and smaller purses less. In addition there are adorable coin purses for $ 4, stylie wallets for $ 15, and many other reasonable and cute accessories. The owner /​buyer was saying that her mother was in the wholesale purse business in San Francisco and that since then, she could never find the same quality and price, so she opened this store. Lucky us!

Wow I’ve stumbled upon a gem! I happened to walk by and thought I’d check out the new local establishment sitting were Oh Baby Oh Baby used to be. The shop was super cute and very organized, although I was afraid to pick anything up because bags these days seem to be outrageously priced. Not the case in this store. The owner is super friendly and explained that all the bags are under $ 70… WHAT?! Seriously tons of cute bags for every taste out there and most importantly they don’t look cheap at all. I have a hard time finding purses that I fall in love with, but not here. I fell in love with a couple bags. This is perfect for Holiday shopping, for yourself, for even your man. Uh what you may say. Yes, true story, your man may even find himself a cool bag. They carry Diaper Dude diaper bags so your man can be stylish when toting around your bambino. They also carry adorable accessories, wallets and scarves with out breaking the bank.
It feels good to support the local economy! Now you do your part!

Attention shoppers and non-​shoppers– you all must check this place out!!! There is something for everyone in this store, bags and scarfs to satisfy everyone’s taste! Even if you don’t think you need another bag or wallet, this place will convince you otherwise because there is so much cute stuff and it’s all super-​affordable with the average price for a bag is around 40 bucks! I gotta admit that i’m a «shopper» and a «label-​lover», but in this economy and 2 kids to feed I can’t be buying bags that cost an arm and a leg. So what I love most about this place is the merchandise «looks» expensive when they are actually very «wallet-​friendly»! I just bought a wallet for 17 bucks that looks like it’s 5x more expensive, so I can proudly and shamelessly flaunt it and a really cool «expensive-​looking» scarf that’s 100% wool for only 20 bucks! Gotta love that! It’s also soo nice to have a new place in this area to buy accessories that’s unique and NOT the «run-​of-​mill» stuff that everyone and their grandmother already has that was bought @ places like H&M or Old Navy… This place is a gold-​mine and the store owner is super-​friendly and helpful which is also such a welcome added bonus to the whole experience!!!

Shopping at The Fickle Bag is like having your very stylish friend take you personal shopping and give you an accessory makeover. There is something there for everyone, from looks that I just saw for hundreds more in StyleWatch, to Diaper Dude bags and mini-​purses, scarves and shawls, even pashminas (the «real» kind and some pretty great looking (and affordable!) knock-​offs). In twenty minutes, I had bought everything on my holiday shopping list for the ladies in my life (mom, daughter, sister & me!). As if that weren’t great enough, the biggest surprise to me is how affordable everything is! Plus, the owner is fabulously nice and it gives me a warm fuzzy feeling to support female-​owned local businesses.
