I was excited to see that there was a taco sinloa in Berkeley, but Before I ordered I asked if this was the same as the one in SoCal(Torrance). They are not the same and so obviously the food did not taste the same. I did like the fact that they had pickled carrots and jalapeños but even those didn’t taste as good as the taco places in SoCal.

Best Mexican food in Berkeley hands down. They are on the pricey side, but it’s Berkeley and down the street from campus. They do have specials and you can sign up for their offers or taco stamp card(they’ll take your number). Really small store front, so seating space is really limited, not to mention it gets hot in there quick! But if you want Mexican food in Berkeley, this is the place to go. Everything here is delicious.

I love their carne asada tacos but they’re pretty small. However, still delicious!

I’m into tacos and so is this place. I had the spicy pork, chicken, and steak taco. There is no skimping on the fillings and everything taste fresh. They are small but mighty and pretty dang yummers. The facility is comfortable and clean, and the staff is kind and thoughtful. If your looking for a good taco Tuesday, hit up this little taco joint, you can’t be displeased.

Tacos like those I used to eat as a child in Mexico. Nothing is better than this. NOTHING!

Tacos, tacos, tacos — it’s all about the tacos here. I’ve had the Fruitvale location bookmarked for awhile, but haven’t yet stopped in. Sinaloa took over the space occupied by another Mexican place which was decent, but these guys are the best! Was in on a weekday evening for an early dinner, line to the door but it moved pretty quickly. Food was up max of ten minutes after we ordered. The tacos are served on two small tortilla, hot soft, and glistening with just a touch of fat. Perfect. The fillings — my favorite is al pastor, are generous, with the diced white onion and cilantro topping. You will have to either eat some of the filling with a fork first, or try the pro trick, slide the bottom tortilla out about halfway and then you can fold it and pick it up, but it will still be a little messy. One of my friends ordered the quesadilla — it looked a little sad in comparison to the tacos. Service was very friendly as well! If you can’t get to Fruitvale check them out here on Telegraph.

You can pretty much find me here every Tuesday for Taco Tuesdays!(They now have a Taco Tuesday deal; buy 4 tacos get one free or one free Aqua Fresca, in addition to the $ 6 burrito deal). They also have a new customer stamp ‘card’ machine where you earn a stamp every time you visit and order over $ 6. Just remember to enter your phone number on the screen at the counter! After 12(?) stamps, you get a free taco or something

I love love love tacos, but coming from SoCal, I think my standards are much higher than what they offer here in Berkeley. However, these tacos are great for a small snack or a meal with lots of variety. There are lots of toppings and meats to choose from, and the tacos are small and cheap enough for you to make quite a few selections. There are very few seats so expect to be standing or to take your meal to-go. I really like the marinated vegetables they put on top as well as the horchata, which is ice cold and just the right amount of milkiness and cinnamon. I personally find the pork belly and beef tongue to be the best choices.

I’m so happy they opened one in Berkeley! I always been a huge fan of their taco trucks in East Oakland, so now I’m glad I can get tacos in a safer area. A lot of my Mexican friends from LA always complain about how there are no authentic places in Berkeley to get tacos. I can now point them in this direction. I usually get three tacos when I’m here. A chicken, carne asada, and a lengua. I really like how they use different salsas for each meat. It compliments everything well. My only issue with this location is they charge extra for lengua. I’ve never been to a taqueria that charges extra for this! None of their taco trucks do either. It is pretty normal to charge more for fish or shrimp, so I thought it was weird. The prices here seem more expensive than their other locations, but I’m sure rent on Telegraph is expensive.

I agree that this is one of the better Mexican places in Berkeley but is it the best that I’ve had? Nope. But it does meet expectations and I know that a lot of my friends enjoy coming here. I have had tried bites of all the burritos and, maybe it’s because I’m more health conscious, but I think that the burritos are too heavy. But they are flavorful so one bite satisfies. And, also, if you want a meal… Their super burritos are quite huge so some of my guy friends have to save it for two meals. In terms of tacos, which is the only thing I’ve ordered, the carnitas have been my favorite but sometimes it can be a bit dry. What I do appreciate is the stuff that comes on the side. Their carrots, jalepenos, and radishes are a go to for me!

Meh I’m from SoCal so I’m never that impressed with Mexican food in the Bay Area. Tacos Sinaloa definitely satisfies that taco craving, but I’m sorry to say that I don’t understand the hype. Service is efficient and you can expect to get your food pretty quickly, so that’s a plus. Since each taco is pretty small, you can customize to get snack-sized or a big meal. This is definitely a fast food type of joint and the storefront isn’t that big so don’t expect to always find a seat. I do really like the horchata here and think it’s way better than other Mexican places in Berkeley!

Heard that this opened up in Berkeley, and was super impressed that the quality of tacos are as good as the trucks! If you’re looking for a delicious meal and are also on a budget(#collegelyfe) this is the place to go! Whenever I buy tacos from a taco truck, my biggest problem is not having a place to sit down comfortably and eat it. And usually by the time I get home with my tacos, they’re not as warm anymore. Tacos Sinaloa in Berkeley solves this problem for me, without having a price spike for being in an actual location. Tacos are just as cheap as the trucks itself, 2 – 2.50 each(cheaper than a few that I’ve been to), and the quality is just as fantastic. I came here for a quick snack so I only ordered two tripe tacos. For those who don’t know what that is, it’s a taco filled with intestines, which I swear taste much better than it sounds. It’s actually my 2nd fav type of taco(next to tacos chicharrones). They made the tripe super crispy and with a smoky flavor, which is exactly the way I like it. They also do not skimp on the meat here. I highly recommend the tripe taco to anyone who is feeling a bit risky and want to try something new. I promise you that it’ll quickly become one of your favs as well. And just so you know, the tacos do come with some pickled veggies! Definitely will be coming back again very soon!

Yummmmyyy! For just $ 2 per taco(depending on your meats) it was a good amount. They didn’t skimp on sauce or meat. I got 2 asada tacos and they were delicious and filled me up! They’ll ask you if you want toppings once you pick up your order. The girl doing it gives a good amount too. I like. They have a taco Tuesday deal: buy 4, get 1 free. Too bad I don’t eat that many tacos in one sitting.): Cashier was friendly. Would definitely come back for more. They should add elote, esquites, and chamango. I would go there every week!

Went here for a small dinner after a local concert. A local student recommended this place and it was quite good! Ordered 4 tacos: Lengua, Carne Asada, Al Pastor, and the fish. To determine how good a place is, I’ll eat the Lengua first and maaaaan… it was soft, tender and flavorful! The Al Pastor was a bit spicy but well worth eating and sweating a bit. Carne Asada was pretty standard flavor The fish was suprisingly good, the texture and flavor of the meat was soft yet tasty. I was expecting rubio’s quality but this place is way better than Rubio’s! May venture back to try the super burrito if I’m ever back in the area to visit!

If you are craving for great Mexican food that is NOT Americanized in Berkeley, come to this place! This restaurant has cured all my cravings for Mexican food because apparently, it seems like a difficult task to find a decent restaurant that serves legitimate Mexican food in this area. I usually get the Breakfast Burrito and Carne Asada Tacos which are fan-freaken-tastic. My boyfriend has ordered the Lengua Tacos, and he loves it! I tend not to like lengua, but it’s tender here which to me is a thumbs up. The workers are nice, and I love that when I ask for extra condiments, they give it without being stingy. I can see why people would not give 5-star to this restaurant because it is a small restaurant and can be difficult to find a place to sit; also, if you are from the LA county, in comparison, the prices at this restaurant may be a little high, but it’s worth it since this restaurant actually serves legitimately Mexican food.

Location: on Telegraph with rare street parking(unless you want to park in the structure on Channing or a few blocks away for street parking). there are a lot of bar seats for you to enjoy your food. Service: cashiers are nice and food comes out fairly quickly(~5 min). Food: all the tacos come with a lot of meat and toppings! my personal faves: shrimp and al pastor. I’m usually a carnitas person, but their carnitas is wayyyyy too crispy for my liking.

I had heard many wonderful comments about Tacos Sinaloa so I decided to try it while all the students were still on break. I walked in and there was no line; I wasn’t even sure they were opened. They have counter space with stools for eat-in customers lined across the wall and a sign facing outwards toward the street asking people to form a line that will not block their neighboring shops entrances. That alone indicates they must be popular. I went in and decided on the pastor($ 2), asada($ 2) and lengua/beef tongue($ 2.25) and took it to go. Upon removing the tin foil, I saw three very different looking tacos that were full of meat and generous toppings. The jalapeños are hot and the carrots are a bit spicy for those of you who can’t handle too spicy. Each of the tacos were good in their own way though I highly enjoyed the pastor and asada more than the lengua. There wasn’t as much flavor to it but I was also the only person in the shop for them to make it for. This place is great if you’re on a budget and want a good meal that will fill you up for cheap. The workers are extremely friendly and patient. I would absolutely go back again to try other tacos and hopefully my luck will stand and I won’t have any crazy long lines to wait in.

Tacos Sinaloa has been a welcome addition on Telegraph. Tasty, affordable, authentic taco truck food? CHECK. Quick service? CHECK. My absolute favorite pickled carrots and jalapeños on the side? CHECK.(Just make sure you ask for it, they don’t put it on display for obvious reasons, because, you know, Telegraph…) The tacos have undoubtedly gotten the most praise here, but my absolute favorite item on the menu is the SUPERBURRITO. My friends and I affectionately call them«arm burritos» because they’re literally longer than the length of the average college student’s forearm. What this translates to is 3+ tasty meals for ~$ 13. I’ve tried the pastor and asada and both were delicious! My only complaint is that it tends to get crowded in here pretty quickly — I’ve definitely gotten whacked by backpack or two a couple of times. Still, I’d come back to Tacos Sinaloa to fulfill my taco/burrito craving over La Burrita, Pancho’s or Gordo’s ANYDAY.

My favorite east Oakland taco truck set up shop near campus. Now I no longer have to risk my life for some delicious tacos. That alone is worth 1 extra star. Tacos are $ 2 each and 3 is more than enough to fill you up. Special meats(like lengua) for a quarter more. My favorites are the shrimp and beef tongue. Carnitas is tasty too. The pastor taco is too flavorful(yes, that’s a thing) but if you’re into that, you’ll love this. Pro tip — Taco Tuesday, buy 3 get 1 free!!!

Oh. My. God. This is now the best thing in the Telegraph area followed by Top Dog and then really nothing else. The famed Taqueria Sinaloa Fruitvale trucks are where I take friends from out of town when they come visit me in the East Bay and now I can walk there five minutes from my apartment. This is likely the most dangerous thing for my health to possibly happen. Also it’s just as good as the truck. Carnitas to die for. Pastor is ok but get the carnitas. The suadero is bomb too. Also get tacos here, not burritos. The burritos are ok, but the tacos are as good as anywhere in LA. The prices are slightly higher than the trucks(but only by like 25 cents). I wasn’t actually sure what day they opened and as i walked by with my bike i freaked out, ran to lock it, and ran to the line, cutting two guys getting there contemporaneously. They didn’t want it enough. Fortune favors the brave.
