Susan is incredible! My husband and I worked with her to design our wedding invitations, which included our save the date, wedding invitation with multiple inserts and thank you notes. Susan guided us through every step of the process paying close attention to every detail. Truthfully I didn’t realize how much went into creating beautiful invitations, but Susan made herself available day and night to answer our many (many) questions. I highly recommend Susan. She is professional, very knowledgeable and personally invested in making sure her clients love the end results. We can’t wait to work with her again!

Susan is amazing! I was referred to her shop by a family friend for my wedding invitations. Although there are a lot of wedding invitation options online, I was overwhelmed by designing something online and not being able to feel the quality. Susan was so wonderful to work with. She sits down and takes time to listen to what you are looking for and how much you can spend. She helped us create the perfect invitations and was a delight to be around. I would recommend anyone in need of wedding invitations or any other stationary to go there!

I was referred to Susan by Michele Papineau after I met with her and we quickly realized my budget for our wedding stationary was not high enough to have Michele design an entire invitation for me.
Long story short we came to Susan with little time left to get the invites made, having no idea what I really wanted, but also knowing what I really wanted was going to be expensive. After a very pleasant hour long meeting with her we walked away having designed our ideal invitation, inserts and personal stationary for after our wedding and managed to stay within budget!
I would go straight to Susan (don’t deal with the chains) even if you live in SF it’s worth the drive I promise!
Why the 4 stars instead of 5… Our invitations were everything I had wanted, but the paper we picked out was very thin and because we got the invitation engraved the paper mixed with the engraving looked a bit off– the invitation weren’t flat (they curled slightly) and it just looked a little off with the engraving– my husband agreed. But, that is being super picky and we still really liked them. I just wish she had warned us that it wasn’t going to look perfect.
I would still recommend her — just make sure to ask what the paper will look like with engraving if you end up going the engraving route :)

Susan is terrific! We weren’t looking to spend a fortune on invitations, but she still met with us for hours on multiple occasions to make sure we knew all of our options and worked with our budget without making us feel cheap. We never felt rushed and even spent quite a bit of time talking about totally unrelated topics – everything felt very conversational rather than just a transaction. Highly recommended!

Susan Gildea. Amazing woman that loves her job. She made our wedding invitation card selection just a breeze. She’s got tons of selections and has wonderful ideas of her own. She just doesn’t leave you but helps every step of the way make the tough decisions. We used her also for the favors of our pre-​wedding party and she reproduced the same feat again. Where is ten star when I need one? Thanks Susan.

Susan was absolutely brilliant. Incredibly creative, solicitous but not crowding, knowledgeable out the wazoo, and most of all very very flexible about pricing. This is a bonus especially for someone like me, a broke-​ish grad student looking for nice things on the relatively-​cheap.
We went to her for our save the date cards and we will without a shadow of a doubt be going back for our wedding invites. To top it off, she is a really lovely and personable lady, and her office is a beautifully appointed space that it is a pleasure to sit in. (Bonus: comfy leather armchairs.)

I went to Susan to pick out my wedding invitations after being lost in the depths of internet searching for invitations. Susan gives personal attention, expertise and great customer service. I can’t rave enough about my initial experience at this shop. I am a person’s worst nightmare in stores like this… a future bride who comes in to order the wedding invitations (late of course), indecisive, not sure of what colors my wedding will be, not sure of what styles I like.
The shop itself is tiny but very warm and welcoming inside, just like Susan herself. She sat with me for almost 2(!!) hours, showing me not only wedding invitations, but bar mitzvah and holiday invites that were less expensive and actually more in the style I liked. She was very knowledgeable, patient and extra helpful in telling me all the different options that could be created to make my perfect invite. Susan even suggested that if I wanted little ‘bling’(adhesive diamonds) on the invite that I could go to Michael’s Arts and Crafts and put them on myself, saving the money the book vendors would charge.
Of course, I couldn’t decide on what I wanted to order today, but at no time did I feel pressured or rushed to make up my mind. As soon as I can figure out what I want, I will be back to this gem of a store!

From the moment I walked into Susans shop I knew the process of choosing my wedding invitations and programs would be impressive and smooth. Susan was hands on with everything, and provided me with much needed advice on etiquette, style and presentation. She never tried to sell me on the «extras» and was reasonable in her pricing, never trying to sell me something outside of my budget. I have nothing but praise and accolades for her service and dedication to her craft, and plan on using her for future invites and baby announcements! An added bonus, her assistant Mimi does amazing calligraphy/​penmanship as well!

Susan Gildea’s shop is amazing. She’s incredibly creative and really helpful. I cannot spend a lot of time on detail and yet I require quality and Susan has helped me with a ton of projects in the past. We started with my wedding invites, thank you notes, personal correspondance cards, business correspondance and then I have ordered several very reasonably priced gifts from her. I can call her up and say, «rememeber those personal correspondance cards that I got for my bridesmaids? Can I order some similar for so and so» and give her creative licence. She will get the job done, send me a receipt and is always quick, efficient and the work is impeccable. I now use her for everything-​holiday cards, invites, stationary, you name it. I can’t imagine having a better situation.
