Established in 1986.

Providing quality hand-​made rugs and service to the Bay Area for over 30 years, our gallery is located on Solano Avenue in Berkeley, California with our family having been in the business since 1890. Our inventory has grown with our store and consists of thousands of hand-​made rugs of Middle Eastern, Oriental, and American Indian origin. We directly import a variety of styles, including; Bijar, Gabbeh, and Bakhshayesh. Business Owner

Iraj started working in the oriental rug business on Solano Avenue in Berkeley, CA over 30 years ago. He attended Armstrong University (now part of UC Berkeley) where he obtained a BS in Business and in 1986 officially established and opened Solano Oriental Rug Gallery. His family has been in the business of Oriental Rugs since 1890 and strives in providing quality and excellent service to his clients.
