History

Established in 1980.

Dr. Koppel is a bay area native, born and raised in Milbrae, California. He attended college at Cal Poly in San Luis Obispo and then transfered to U. C. Berkeley, graduating in 1976 with a major in BioPhysics. He then went directly to U.C.S.F. for dental school, receiving his D.D.S. in 1980. Dr. Koppel taught at U.C.S.F. dental school, as an associate professor for a few years. Then he took over an existing practice in Berkeley in 1982 and has been in the same location ever since. Over a quarter of a century!

Dr. Koppel is a bay area native, born and raised in Milbrae, California. He attended college at Cal Poly in San Luis Obispo and then transfered to U. C. Dr. Koppel taught at U.C.S.F. dental school, as an associate professor for a few years. Then he took over an existing practice in Berkeley in 1982 and has been in the same location ever since. Over a quarter of a century!

Dr. Koppel met his wife «Z» in 1980. They married in 1986. She is a masters trained Nurse Practitioner. They have two sons.

The family enjoys many activities, the primary one is the study of the martial arts. (If you want to get «Doc», as many call him, talking and not getting any work done, get him talking about martial arts.) The family also snow skis, snow boards, water skis, wakeboards, sails, hikes, backpacks and rides dirtbikes.
