A loved one in need of immediate help has been looking for weeks for a MD to see them. Dr. Levin took us on short notice. He was very polite over the phone and provided two different times i could bring them in to see him. He has flexible office locations in San Francisco and Berkeley, and seems ready to help. I’ll update my review after the first appointment.

After seeing countless MFT’s and having no success with feeling better at all I started seeing Dr. Levin. His practices and technics were very helpful and I strongly feel I have recovered far more than I would of if I had not see him. He was a great help and what every your issues are, he can help you get past them.

I took my brother here today because this was the soonest available appointment I could find. We were both very pleased with Dr. Levin. He was professional, courteous, and knowledgeable. He knew how to ask the right questions to get to the heart of the matter and we left his office with a real solution.

Dr. Levin is amazing, though I didn’t realize how much he helped me until months or years later. Initially, he seemed to be slightly inattentive and would often interrupt me at the climax of my personal stories. I realized later this is a technique helpful in disrupting the downward spiral people experience post-​trauma, and when repeated by a doctor, can initiate a self-​induced pattern. I have seen other psychiatrists who nod their heads and appear to listen (and too readily dole out medication), but none like Dr. Levin, who actively used psychoanalytical techniques even when I was unaware. He asked me questions that were direct and even harsh at times, such why I was overly nice, that may have hurt my feelings had I not quickly realized that he was asking the questions I needed to hear, addressing behaviors and patterns that were hurting me and based in insecurity/​fear. He is intuitive and knowledgeable in Jungian psychoanalysis (based on my moderately educated guess). His advice and the things he taught me still ring true five years later. I am grateful that I found him when I needed his help. Please keep in mind that different psychiatry styles are right for different people.

The reply by Dr. Levin is outrageous. This doctor is totally nuts. He had posted a previous comment, but later removed it. Now he feels the need to slander me more. First I dropped the complaint with the medical board that’s why they never investigated. I didn’t feel it was worth my time. I felt Unilocal was the best way to warn off potential victims. I didn’t want to give this Dr. anymore of my time. Had I known he would have made this type of commit nearly three years after the fact, I should have followed through. I sent the copy of this Unilocal reply to the doctor I went to after this incident with Dr. Levin he was nothing short of shocked and in complete disagreement with this doctors reasoning. Good try Dr. Levin but as the patient noted in the review below mine. You’re the one who needs the help. You are totally unprofessional and should have your license reviewed. Who knows maybe it isn’t too late for me to send in my complaint.
