Playing Life Academy

My sixth grader has been attending Footfire every summer since he was in Kindergarten. This summer, he asked to spend his whole summer there!
First and foremost, the kids learn great soccer skills in a safe and supportive environment. I love the sense of community. The kids really get to know each other and the CITs are just great.
Carlos has a wonderful way with the kids (and parents too!) and a gift with soccer that we are lucky he loves to share! And Caroline feeds everyone so well! I love it that my son enjoyed himself so much and I know he is so well taken care of.

Playing Life Academy is a wonderful program for kids of all ages.
My son has participated in both Capoeira training on weekends and the Footfire Summer camp. Not only has he gained physical strength, but also mental strength through Capoeira training while having, as cheesy as it may sound, the most fun time of his life! In addition, the organic and homemade snacks and lunch provided by Caroline during both the soccer camp and yearly training are healthy, simple, and exquisite. Coach Carlos is also an inspiring, motivated, and overall great teacher for the kids; they love him!
I also have teenage daughter who has had a different, yet equally inspiring and enjoyable time at Playing Life. As a teenager with an interest in food science and cooking, my daughter was given the opportunity to help out in the kitchen with Caroline, learning new techniques and delicious, healthy recipes which she would remake at home! With Caroline in the mornings during the summer camp she was baking, sautéing, and chopping away, making delicious food for the hungry soccer players. After lunch, she helped out in arts and crafts area with the kids as well.
Overall both my kids have had and are still currently having an enriching and fun experience at Playing Life and I assure anyone who joins, they will as well.

My older sons have enjoyed the Footfire Soccer Camp with its excellent soccer instruction and homemade hot lunches (yes, it’s true), and recently I’ve also been impressed by Carlos and Caroline’s Playing Life, where my youngest son spent this past Indigenous People’s Day. Nice counselors and active day, good lunch and snacks, crafts as well.
