History

Established in 2013.

In a space formerly occupied by tog dog for 42 years, the owner of top dog decided to change things up and open a small high quality pizzeria. The concept has been warmly embraced by the computer science, engineering and grad student crowd on North Side.

Pizzahhh! has awesome pizza. It’s thin and the sauce always tastes so fresh. The cheese is high quality. For me, one pizza/​person is a good amount and only costs ~$ 8. I like adding arugula, goat cheese, or ricotta as toppings. Call ahead and show up 15 minutes later with your pizza ready!

Terrific made to order pizza spot that’s delicious, friendly and inexpensive. We split a fresh ricotta and arugula pie for lunch. Made while we waited and it was delicious. Set us back a whole $ 9. We will be back!

This place is wonderful! I needed a really good pizza and being frugal (a cheapskate) I looked far and wide. I found Pizzahhh! on Unilocal and the rest is history.
Their specials are inspired but they are so accommodating to creating your idea of the perfect pizza!

One of the best pizza places I’ve ever been to, definitely the best in the area. Unassuming little storefront with about 8 bar stools and plenty of outdoor seating in the mostly-​Asian food court on Northside.
They always have two daily specials — one with meat, one vegetarian — always interesting, delicious combinations. $ 2.75 for a slice, $ 9 for a whole 12″ pie.

Dried out and salty. The only juicy part was the oil dripping off this nasty excuse of a slice. I will call it late in the day slice, so i’ll try it again soon, maybe the experience will improve

Not sure about other people’s experiences but we didn’t have a very good time. We ordered pepperoni pizza with goat cheese, and sat outside and waited for our pizza. Because it was taking longer than expected, we went in and asked for the pizza to be put in a box. The woman behind the counter rudely responded, «really?» We offered to box it ourselves, but she told us in a snobby voice that she would box it herself. However, we ended up not even getting a box. The pizza itself was overly greasy and overpriced. Overall, I will not be returning, and instead will be checking out the multitude of other actually good pizza places in Berkeley.

Wow, this place blows Pieology away. Sure you don’t get unlimited toppings but the quality of the ingredients is better here. You can either build your own pizza or choose the «pizza of the day.» Regardless of which option you get, I guarantee you’ll love it. Everything down to the crust and sauce is really enjoyable. Service is always prompt and friendly. Bar stool only seating here is a little uncomfortable so I’d recommend taking your pizza to go. It takes about 10 minutes to make so call ahead if you are in a rush.

I haven’t written a review in a long time, but Pizzahhh! is too much of a good thing to go unappreciated.
In a town where even a $ 35 pizza shows up in Unilocal’s single $ filter, a fresh, delicious handmade three topping pizza for $ 9 is a miracle. I got a pesto pepperoni, and my lady friend got a chèvre, arugala, and fig reduction pie. Both were fabulous. He didn’t skimp on the toppings one bit. Each crust was stretched to order. We will definitely return.

This is definitely the place to go if you want to have a midnight snack or gonna be watching a star wars marathon with your group of friends. They have a bunch of variety and the price is also not that bad.

This place is great. Small pizza shop with one guy working the whole show. You can get a whole pizza for like $ 8-​$ 10 depending on how many toppings you pile on. The pizza is so good too! Hot out of the oven and perfectly crispy and hand made

This pizza joint is located pretty much on Cal Berkeley campus. It’s a small hole-​in-​the-​wall place that seems to be made for college students. The menu is simple, with a few very unique pizza options and drinks only from the soda fountain. The pizza we ordered and ate was topped with banana peppers, goat cheese, arugula and thinly sliced meat of some sort, then drizzled with balsamic. The flavor combo proved delicious, and the dough was pretty good but not out-​of-​this-​world. Seating is on bar stools over looking the street of the entrance to the college, so we enjoyed observing the college kids walking about with determined and hopeful looks on their faces at the start of the school year. Come here for dependable pizza in a non-​romanticized location.

Way underrated, this place is most definitely on par with the big players around the block… Cheese board and Sliver. Except there’s no wait, cheap (past 4 ingredients it’s $ 10 a pizza regardless of the number of ingredients!), excellent customer service. You can get whatever pizza you want, which seems to be a rare thing in Berkeley. Their daily specials are great though and they do half and half. They also have a stamp card, buy nine, get one free.

I’ve never really had alternative pizza flavors before so I was so excited to try their balsamic pepperoni pizza they suggested! The owner and son we so warm and friendly, it was more then worth the trek up that hill to get there. I will definitely come back!

The pizza here is excellent, it’s always made to order and always made using the highest quality ingredients available. Their topping list may not be the largest in the area, but it sure is very diverse, selections range from prosciutto and Pancetta to walnuts and pine nuts. Pizzas are sold whole or by the slice, and for $ 10 you can build your own pizza with unlimited toppings. Each pie is cut into six slices, so it’s plenty of food for 2, but I’d suggest you buy your own pie, because once you taste it, you’ll want your slices back.

Wow great pizza! I like that I can buy just a slice of and it is heated from out of the oven. The place itself is pretty small and has limited stool seating. The service was quick and friendly. There was only a few people in line before us on a weekend afternoon so the wait was about 5 minutes only.
The pepperoni slice (~$ 2.50) was really good. I don’t normally like crust but it was the perfect crunch. Overall the quality of the ingredients is much higher than other places but I did feel my slice was pretty small even compared to my friend’s slice — I would probably need to have at least 3 slices to be full.
Overall high quality pizza worth checking out near campus.

Way better than Pieology!
This place was a little hard to find though, but the pizza is GREAT.
I would say the pizza here is better quality than Pieology, and there are better ingredients here. You can make your own pizza or you can choose the «pizza of the day.» Both ways are great, and they give great suggestions regarding what ingredients work well together.
Also, for a pizza around $ 9, you can split a pizza for two and still have room for boba or ice cream, heh. The wait is a bit long since the pizza is made-​to-​order, but you can also call in early to make your order.
Bottom line:
The price is great, the food is good quality, and the pizza is tasty.
Unfortunately, it’s hard to find seating sometimes depending on how busy the place is.

Pizzahh is definitely understated. Reasonable prices that are similar to the likes of Pieology & Seniores in Berkeley but the overall quality/​tasty is higher and the pizza includes sophisticated ingredients to boot. You can buy a slice, get a personal-​sized pizza, or even order a whole pizza.
Overall, this place goes a step further than your typical quick, cheap pizza joint: it offers a pizza style that is usually only found at sit-​in Italian restaurants. Think: a thin, slightly burnt papery crust (they hand-​toss the dough in front of you!) and the option to include relatively fancy ingredients (topped egg, prosciutto, ricotta, mango-​habanero sausage, calabrese, arugula, etc.).
Truly a tasty bang for the buck. I don’t have classes on Northside but I gladly make the trek here.

A good option for your wallet in this part of town. It’s no Delfina, but you’re paying half the price, as well. I like that they do have some interesting flavor combinations. I don’t think their oven can get as hot as a proper wood-​fired brick oven so the crust doesn’t get the same effect as a Neapolitan, but it hits the spot. You can split a pizza for two for ~$ 8 and be reasonably filled, or have room for some ice cream after. ;)

What awesome nice sweet service. And the prices will blow your mind: two big individual pizzas — one pepperoni and one the veggie special (roasted garlic, goat cheese, red peppers and arugula) for about $ 15.
Be sure and pick up a «Road to Success» circa 1913 poster for $ 10.
