Nussbaum’s Computer Repair

I brought my laptop to Carl because I wasn’t able to work on it anymore: too slow with some weird/​unexpected behaviours. Carl immediately suspected a virus. He spent sometime running some tests and he was finally right. He finally reinstalled the whole system, from my previous Windows Vista (very bad version of Windows) to XP, much more stable. Since then, my laptop starts a second life: fast, efficient, just what I needed.

At least, I have found an honest computer repair (not pricey) that knows what he is doing and that makes me happy.

This guy is an absolute liar, as well as an idiot. First, he spelled my name wrong. Secondly, everything I wrote above is absolutely true. My computer had a factory installed CD burner. He destroyed it. He destroyed the printer software, the Norton antivirus software, and replaced the operating system I have always used without asking my permission. I brought my computer to someone who has worked on computers for 35 years-«Mr. Techno Wiz», and he was astonished that this guy did not know any other way to remove viruses without destroying all the factory installed programs. Why did my computer have Adobe 10 when I brought it to him and have Adobe 6 when I picked it up? Mr Techno Wiz changed the setting on the touch pad because it didn’t work when I picked it up from this guy. When I looked at the list of programs which are now on my computer, several of the titles are written in CHINESE. Why?
He was so afraid of being sued for his incompetence that when I picked up my computer he handed me a letter, which I have retained, saying I would get noting if I sued him because he recently filed for bankrupcy. STAY AWAY!

Carl is a computer wizard who I recommend highly. He diagnoses problems accurately, solves them ingeniously and quickly — and sometimes even throws in a few extras in terms of software! Plus he’s a really nice guy. Five stars!

Carl is the perfect computer repair resource. He s serviced three computers for me, and I’m always impressed with his skill, reliability, flexibility, speed, and general niceness. His prices are reasonable, and he’ll never try to talk you into paying for something that you don’t need. He’s well-​organized and he completes repairs quickly, according to the promised schedule. He asks the necessary questions to determine what issue (s) you want him to deal with, and then he listens to your response and proceeds accordingly. His communication is excellent and his availability — even on weekends — is a lifesaver when disaster happens at an inconvenient time. He’s also completely trustworthy, which is not inconsequential for someone who has access to everything on your hard drive.
