The worst place specially a hungry old woman named Monica who end up with my husband yes with my husband in a Motel what type of customer service is that I hope your boss and your husband check the review so they would know who you are!

I needed to get some documents notarized. Due to my previous experience and close proximity I walked into no hassle check cashing. I was surprised at the treatment I got. This was a great experience. Their
customer service is fantastic and deserves five stars. I would recommend it to the people who truly appreciate a good customer service.

Its always really fast getting my check cashed at this place. The employees provide great customer service, even during their busiest hours. I completely recommend this place.

I have said it before and I will say it again. These guys are the best! Quick and easy. Your race doesn’t matter, the service is always great. Once they get you into their computer system, they will work with you. This is your check cashing, bill paying, and money order place. Yay!!! No Hassle, you are the best, far above the rest.

This has been my backup last minute neighborhood no hassle for over 20 years… The staff is professional and I have even called before hand to make sure I don’t need anything extra if it’s an unfamiliar check or transaction. Friendly, Fast, & Convenient… appreciation the service.

I’m a regular customer here at no Hassle check checking, I come here and always get good customer service but that stopped yesterday as I walked in and approached the counter of a rude associate that I never countered with tell this point, she was setup with a attitude, as I told her what I needed to do she scripted and rushed me on what I’ll need as I already knew, I looked at her feeling rushed and offended being that the place was quite no one was in there but myself I wondered why was she so rushy and rude, as she went to the back to complete my transaction that normally takes less than 45sec she returned 3minutes later turning me down of a routine transaction saying it do not work with a snobby attitude and not wanting to try again, as if she was refusing to do more, I then asked for someone else to help me because I did not like her attitude, she expressed to me loudly that she didn’t like my attitude we begin to argue she throw up the middle finger at me, through her mouse at the window towards me, pulled out her phone tried taking a picture of me, I was vivid, surprised at such a behavior in the workplace I was forced to go elsewhere pissed and could not believe I got treated like this as the co worker picked up the phone as if she was calling the police i was shocked as she was in agreement to her behavior, I felt undefeated, disgusted at the customer service turned into a nightmare I will never forget her face, her look, heavy set tall white women tight golden curls, with a look that can kill, no name tag this experience was a hassle, waste of time, I felt betrayed as a regular, this lady needs to be fired from that place and I will look into that soon but my warning and story is true I’m not venting to give that place a bad name but this was my experience it was real I’m so upset, what a nightmare.

I am not a person who cashes checks, i am a person who writes them. Today, i wrote a $ 50 check for a cleaning person who did some work for me. The cleaning person went to this establishment and the manager called me to verify it. I was surprised to be getting a call for a check with such a small amount… I answered his questions which seemed totally irrelevant and he still not cash the check for my worker!
I think this guy thinks he is some sort of detective and he is horrible at it. He is asking questions that he cannot verify i think just to be noisy like the other people said.
He asked me «where is your company?» well how does that matter? He did not ask what the address on the check is that he can verify…
He also asked where the cleaning lady did her cleaning!!! I gave him the address of the apt she cleaned but again he had no way to verify the answer to that… I guess unless he asked her separately but i doubt he wrote the address down…
Total jerk. Do not patronize.

Worst business practice from this place! I’m disgusted to say I even stepped foot in this establishment. I was having an okay time until I believe the owner or the manager of this place his name is Frank stood over the girl who was trying to type my information into the computer and made little remarks as I was standing there. So the whole time I was literally talking to her and to him even though I didn’t even know who he was he was just looking at all my information as the girl was putting it into the computer. He made rude and intrusive comments like oh why are you in Berkeley if you work in Santa Clara and live in Oakland… I get it it looks sketchy but I had all my documents that state where I work where I live and so on. The woman tried to ask me another question and when he interrupted her and started talking to me in a condescending tone that’s where I drew the line and told him I wanted nothing to do with business and I left. I could see the woman was annoyed at him I guess this has happened before. Beware of this place unless you like intrusive people.

I received a check from my sister for Christmas and it was drawn on a Merrill Lynch investment account, I tried to cash it at Bank of America which is what it said on the check and they told me they could not access private banking accounts. I went to No Hassle Check Cashing and was in and out in less than 5 minutes, and was able to load my clipper card at the same time. Great Service and they live up to their name… NO HASSLE.

Horrible! Took over an hour to try and cash my check and they ended up telling me they couldnt get in touch with whoever it is that approves them for the store!!! Why would you need to call somebody to approve a check when you work at a check cashing store???

This used to be my favorite place but yesterday MONIKA disappointed me. I was there to send money around 6.45 pm and the lady named MONIKA (the one with tattoo on chest) was working at the counter. I told her that I wanna send money and gave the money. She got so much upset and said go and bring $ 100 big bills only, I don’t accept $ 20 bills. She was too lazy to count those $ 20 bills and she want only big bills to count. I reminded her that this is the only first business who refused my money just because the person who is lazy to count the money and ask for big bills only. She again told me to go bank to get big bills only. Then I’ve to louder my voice and scream at her so that the other customer can also understand why she was refusing me. Now finally, she accepted my money so that she will not get fired. I hope the manager or incharge of this store will give her some training or replace with someone. Otherwise I won’t be back if they have these type of unprofessional employees working.

Nicole is a helpful, friendly and thoughtful notary. I am getting married abroad and first went to her to get a form notarized requesting a new birth certificate. She did it so quickly, I wasn’t sure if she knew what she was signing — but then assured me she notarizes those documents all the time. TODAY, I went in with my fiancé and a third person who had to sign different papers. Nicole really took the time to understand the document required by the foreign country before signing. She helped us understand it too. Helped a lot.

Came here for a money order & it was really quick. Though, they do tack on a 2.50 charge for using an debit/​credit card for it.
Really should order some checks so I won’t ever need to visit one again.

A few days ago a friend went to this place to sell 3 gold 1 oz krugerrands. She didn’t know much about buying and selling gold and evidently they picked that up rather quickly. Unlike Oakland Silver & Gold, they did not educate her and gave her $ 3800 when each coin was worth ~$ 1600. The sales person’s name is Frank. They do NOT offer fair and accurate prices for gold! And another friend took a few gold trinkets to them and found they offered much less than Oakland Silver & Gold. This may mean that they have manipulated their scales (I have no idea whether their scales have been recently verified). When selling gold it is wise to read up on the how to do it without being screwed. Do not use this establishment if you value integrity.

In the end, it was a hassle to cash my check. They required me to cash my check within five days of its issuance, even though it had been forwarded to an out of date address through no fault of mine. In the end, they would not cash the check. Call before you go to make sure you will be successful.

I had to buy a money order. I parked in front, bought the money order, got in my car. Took less than 3 minutes. Better than a bank!

Yes, I must agree with «Frank P.», this particular check cashing establishment is freindly and the notaries are very conveinent. My young son loves to come with me to wire his mother money once a week because of the striking resemblence the owner has to the popular cartoon character, Spongebob Squarepants. It really is NO HASSLE
