This business is inspired by Welcome Wagon businesses that were popular in the past. Carol wanted to create this business to help people acclimate to Berkeley in a fun, personal and personalized way. She looks forward to sharing her knowledge of this wonderful community with new residents who are still exploring the wonders of Berkeley and are open to hearing about local resources that they otherwise might not learn about. She is partnering with local businesses who share her enthusiasm for Berkeley so that a variety of gifts and discount offers can be given to Berkeley newcomers for their use over time as needs for various goods and services arise.

Carol is a proud native of Alameda County. She grew up in Oakland and Piedmont and attended UC Berkeley, majoring in Social Welfare. Her past work life includes over 25 years working for nonprofit organizations in a fundraising role. Carol loves to explore within her local community and regularly attends arts and cultural events in Berkeley and surrounding areas. Carol loves connecting people with others, as well as to local resources in the community and is eager to assist Berkeley newcomers in finding more to love about this amazing city.
