Dr. Bailey is an amazing breast surgeon and a compassion, experienced, kind, smart person. The team work with my Drs, Dr. Marshall, Dr. Bailey and Dr. Uhl, could not have been better. It seems that at Epic care in Emeryville, the staff know how to make the ordeal of breast cancer as painless as possible. The best team work that I have seen and they all seem happy with their jobs! During my lumpectomy, Dr. Bailey worked with the anesthesiologist to give me the best possible balance of a surgery with no pain as well as very little discomfort afterward from the surgery or the medication. Dr. Bailey imbues the patient with a sense of confidence and you feel that she really listens to you. She never seems rushed although she must be given her patient load. If you have to go through this awful ordeal, having a group like this care for you and a surgeon like Dr. Bailey can make it all that much brighter!

She can be smart, up to date but if they don’t really listen to you — your in trouble. I saw Dr. Bailey and her NP last March(2012). Complaining of pain in my left and slighter pain and lump in my right. Mammogram from Carol Anne Reed suggested a swollen lymph node on left. Dr. Bailey and her NP made me feel like I was wasting their time. They assured me I had fibroid cysts which can be painful and that cancer is not commonly painful. They spent more time talking to me about avoiding caffeine than truly listening to me. I asked her NP to feel lump in right and she told me it felt like a fibroid. She demonstrated how to continue to check it. I asked them to ultrasound it just to be sure and they said they didn’t need to because they knew it was a fibroid. Keep in mind that the ultrasound machine was sitting right there! 10 days ago I was diagnosed with 6 malignant tumors in my right breast. Listen to your gut ladies and demand better care! What happened to me is shameful!

It’s hard to get an appointment with her if you don’t have cancer or if it’s in question(took me 2 months to get one because I’m not a cancer patient). But once you see Dr. Bailey, she’s warm, caring, smart, and take the time to answer any questions you may have. My internist thought I had lumps in my breast and referred me to her for a second opinion. If you’re looking for a breast doc she’s the best there is in the east bay —

Dr. Lisa Bailey is outstanding. Skilled, brilliant, kind, up to date on the latest research. She somehow manages the seemingly impossible task of not making her patients wait while not making them feel rushed through their appointments. Highly recommend her! A great plus is that her whole staff is great. Same there, the office is always busy but everyone on the staff always has time for a smile, friendly words and magically fits you into an already full schedule. Best medical office I have ever experienced. I have also seen Dr. Jon Greif in the same office and he is also superb.
