History

Established in 1997.

In 1997 Bruce Lazarus, opened his salon for business on Adeline Street in South Berkeley. With years of experience in the Cosmetology World Lazarus was prepared to find his niche in the industry and create a salon experience that everyday folks from all walks of life would be comfortable coming to. Fast forward almost 2 decades later, Lazarus Studio for Hair has relocated a couple times but is still in the same neighborhood where it all started. The studio now sits on the corner of Alcatraz Avenue and King Street, less than a half mile from the previous locations that served the community for years. Bruce is still running his salon as both Owner and Hair Artist, in cohesion with an elite team of 5 independent Hair Specialists, skilled in Haircuts including Barbering, Braiding, Extensions, Locks, Straightening and more
