Get off Uranus and go to Jupiter! Jupiter is a multi-tap beer house that serves up to 12 house brews, plus 20
other regional craft beers. Jupiter is known for its church-like interior,
and huge heated two-level beergarden (complete with central fire-pit). Check
out the Jupiter outdoor jazz program that runs six nights a week April thru
October. Jupiter serves a limited menu including wood-fired pizzas, sandwiches, and big salads.
History
Established in 1992.
Jupiter is the East Bay’s most popular beerhouse, locally owned & operated, by John Martin (owner of Triple Rock brewpub just up the street and Drake’s Brewing Company in San Leandro). Jupiter has been serving its own handcrafted beers & ales along with «award-winning» wood-fired pizzas since 1992. Housed in an old livery stable from the 1890’s, Jupiter exudes a European atmosphere found in the heart of Berkeley, California. (The design was inspired by the oldest bar in Berlin.)
