Working on people’s yards off and on since I was a kid, I’ve come to realize I really enjoy the work, being outside, and the exercise. Becoming my profession only seemed natural. Alongside my partner or with the help of a couple strong guys I can tackle almost any size job.

I called Nate over the holidays as I have a rental that was recently vacated and the previous tenants did not really maintain the yard for months. The weeds were overgrown, and tree branches were strewn all over. Piles of leaves remained in several parts of the garden. Since I was having an open house just before New Year, I was really not expecting anyone to show up at my rental. I called Nate, and texted him some photos of the yard to get a rough estimate. After several test message exchanges, Nate and his crew showed up and spent a couple of hours at the front, back and side yards. They did an amazing job cleaning the yard.

Nate has cleaned up my yard a few times and left it in great condition. Unfortunately, he is unresponsive and does not follow through with plans. Because I liked the service he provided, I tried to work with him, but after becoming frustrated many times I had to find a new yard person. My new person quoted me a hundred dollars less on a job than Nate did, so the change was a positive all around.

Nate was great and exceeded our expectations. We have a large backyard in Berkeley that was overgrown and in much need of TLC as we recently moved in, but we were not ready to «landscape» it. He understood exactly what needed to be done, and finished all the work in 2 days (and we were on his schedule less than 2 weeks after our initial meeting). The price was incredibly fair for the scope of work, and I look forward to bringing him back to do our front yard! We were flexible with our dates, which was helpful with his hectic schedule.

Nate rules. He gave us an estimate, it was dark and it was clearly way under what the job entailed. Our garden was a disaster. He respectfully asked for a little more money on the day of (in the light!) and after 2 hours of watching him and his team work I was happy to give him even more than he asked for. Totally professional, down-​to-​earth, and reliable service. Our yard has never looked better. I look forward to doing more business with him in the future, highly recommended.

I had a great experience with this company. I needed to put my front yard back together after it was torn apart and dug up for a sewer line repair.
They responded quickly with an estimate and completed the work within the time frame in which they stated and their work was exceptional. I will use them for any future work in which they provide.

Nate came out and gave us a reasonable estimate to clear out the front and back yards at my house, and then lay new sod. He was fair about the work that needed to be done, and have us ideas for other options than sod, if we wanted.
He spent a whole day preparing the yards. He worked incredibly hard to get everything ready, and worked equally hard to get the sod installed and looking wonderful. It hasn’t even been a week and we are already getting lots of compliments from the neighbors! I would highly recommend Nate.

I hired Nate to prune an overgrown tree in my backyard. After we agreed on the price (pretty fair). He did the job that wasn’t easy… tree was at least 20 feet tall. Nate did a very good job, swept up afterwards and hauled away the debris. I might need a dump run soon! Highly recommended.

I wanted to take out about 20 bushes that came with the house. They were all of the same species, and apparently the favorite food of a certain breed of caterpillar /​moth. Caterpillar-​cocoon-​mageddon was the result. The plants were dying, and it was time for them to go. With a backyard party a week out, I found Nate on Unilocal,and was able to get the work done before the big day. He was very responsive by text message, and was amiable and professional. It took him 3 hours to get it done (along with taking down a big stray branch off my plum tree, and taking out two extra bushes that had gotten too huge for their positioning at the sidewalk). He bid the project, rather than getting into a per-​hour rate. I feel like, for the tough work involved, we reached a good price. Btw, he did half the work in pouring rain. Recommended.

After reading the great reviews here, I called Nate to help me reclaim my backyard after years of neglect. He was able to come out the next morning and survey the project. He proposed what I thought was a fair price. He came out two mornings later and dove right in. When I got home from work I couldn’t believe how much he’d gotten done. He came back the next day and finished it all up. The transformation in my backyard is insane — morning glory and blackberry brambles had overtaken everything, and now they’re gone. I have my patio back. I have my garden back. And only four days after deciding to finally find someone to get it done.
Working with Nate was terrific — he was careful to make sure he completely understood what I wanted, and he checked in throughout the day to give me updates and ask more questions as necessary. A totally can-​do guy. I would definitely recommend him.

Nate did a fantastic job helping us get our house ready to sell – he cleared our very overgrown yard, weeded, pruned, and hauled away trash and debris in record time.
