This place has such fresh doughnuts, I always make sure to stop in for a treat when I’m in Elmwood. My only negative is if I get there too late they are out of doughnut holes! That, of course, is all my fault though.

Old grease produces nasty donuts, end of story.

Yummy! They were closing but let us in quickly. I enjoyed a plain sugar hole donut. My hubbie said it was the best choc old fashioned donut he’d had.

I decided to have the apple fritter for my bad breakfast/lunch. Compared to other places, I found the size of the apple fritter to be small. Maybe that is a good think since its a mass of deep-fried dough and apple. I did find the inside area to be soggy, almost uncooked. The glazed layer portion was okay… hey, it’s sugar. Hoping that it would be filling for both breakfast and lunch, I was sadly disappointed. Maybe I should try another type of donut. I guess it will depend on if I want to drive up this way to work… maybe, maybe not.

Delicious! Loved it here! Great early morning start. The staff is friendly. I got the croissant breakfast sandwich and cheese danish. Both were so delicious!

Their glaze donuts are so good! I always grab a coffee as well. My go-to donut shop before work. :)

These are some solid donuts. I think the sugar and french crullers are super light and fluffy. They also aren’t overly sweet. There was a tad too much glaze on the crullers, but to be fair I tend to like less sweet + less glaze on food in general. The apple fritter was gigantic, about a size of a softball if you were to smash the softball down, but it was a bit too oily for me. I’ve been to 20 something donut shops in bay area, this is definitely one of the top 3 best. Dont let the décor full you and turn you away, the food taste good. The service is also good.

The best thing about this place are the prices. Everything is amazingly cheap and the food is pretty solid. Nothing special just home cooked food-tons of options! I ordered a ham, egg, and cheese croissant, a stack of pancakes, and a doughnut to-go for $ 12. So yeah really affordable. My main complaint is it smelled and looked a little dirty inside. The service was okay and the coffee wasn’t anything good. But again… those prices.

I happened to be walking by this donut shop as I was heading to the bank. The donuts on the window looked really good. I love going to Bob’s Donuts in San Francisco as they have amazingly soft glazed and glazed with crumble donuts. I had not been able to find anything close to that on the east bay, until now. These are really soft and fluffy. I would really like to try these when they come out fresh. The only thing I would like to see now is if they could make the glazed with crumbles donut. If they did that I would not have to go so far to get the same donuts I love. If you’re by the Berkeley area and looking for something sweet to eat, I would definitely give this place a try.

I love the donut holes here. The glaze is sugary, but there is some saltiness which brings it to another level. Only $ 1 for half a dz. I like that it is also a diner and that they have tv and there is nothing pretentious about this place at all. My mom used to buy donuts here everyday when she was pregnant with me and I think the same family still owns this awesome neighborhood donut shop. It should also be noted that they have a notary public that comes in at least once a week in case you ever need one.

My vote for world’s best apple fritter. Today I had a wonderful maple cream bar with cream added cold out of the fridge. French crueller is unique, fabulous and only $ 1; light and a bit eggy. They also have breakfast and lunch sandwiches.

Ladies are nice even though it looks like she’s always mugging me. Donuts are fresh and good. Place is a little run downed. They could clean up a bit.

One thing I like about the break of day in the Bay Area is that all of the people haven’t come out yet. The flip side of that is that it is difficult to find good breakfast at a decent hour. While donuts may not exactly fall under that ‘good breakfast’ category, they are one of very few options before 6am. So this morning I found myself at Dream Fluff, and I was not disappointed. Driving up a quiet and darkened Ashby Avenue, the shop shone bright with donuts on display in the front window. The coffee was hot, the donuts fresh, and the chef chatty and chipper. Donuts are pretty standard fare, but significantly dreamy and fluffy as the name suggests.

Donuts are certainly a dream, but I recommend going for the biscuit breakfast sandwiches. Both the bacon and sausage are commendable. Perhaps the best component is the biscuit as it is the size of a dinner plate(well, not quite).

My coworkers bought donuts here a few times for our office breakfast and they were definitely tasty. They smell amazing too. Had their cake and raised doughnuts and they were delicious!

Friggjn delicious! You can’t go wrong with any of the donuts(especially the French donuts and the fritter). Their breakfast sandwiches are bomb too, and cheap.

Lovely selection of classic cake, old-fashioned, and yeast donuts! Open super early for anyone who needs to grab some donuts on the way in to work. Get the blueberry donut!

This is by far the best donut spot. His donuts are always fresh. Nice friendly owner. Whenever I’m in this part of town I always stope here. These donuts melt in your mouth! The location is in a nice good location in Berkeley. On the corner of Ashby and College Ave. come here before work and grab a dozen! You can’t go wrong. The breakfast special is good as well! Remember breakfast is the most important meal of the day!

We came here in the afternoon for some old fashioned glazed donuts and they were pretty good– nice and fluffy. There were plenty of seats available, and the place looked like a normal old donut shop. They had a $ 5 minimum for credit cards, so be sure to bring cash.

We were nearby Dream Fluff Donuts so we decided to drop in based on the Unilocal reviews. I love that they have a big selection of donuts and sandwiches. We ordered an egg & cheese breakfast sandwich on a muffin, an apple fritter, and a glazed buttermilk bar. The sandwich had much more eggs than I expected and was pretty good(grade B). The apple fritter was big and very good(grade A-). Now, the star of the show was… the glazed buttermilk bar. It was the biggest buttermilk bar I’ve ever had. My wife had never had a buttermilk bar and it was half gone before I even got a bite! Then I sunk my teeth into it and it was… delicious! Yummy goodness! It was the best glazed buttermilk bar I’ve ever had(grade A+)! We’ll definitely return to Dream Fluff Donuts someday! Overall grade: A+/A
