The Discovery Corner is also the home of the original Sunprint kit! We create and package all of our kits here at the Hall with the support of our staff.

History

Established in 1968.

The Discovery Corner store is located within Berkeley’s Lawrence Hall of Science public science center. The Hall was established in 1968 by the University of California Berkeley as a living memory to the genius of Ernest O. Lawrence.

Here at the Discovery Corner Store we support the Hall’s mission to inspire and foster learning of science and mathematics for all, especially those who have limited access to science.

Meet the Manager

Seth H. and Chloe F.

Manager

The Discovery Corner store is managed by the dynamic-duo Seth & Chloe. Seth has been with the Hall for 14 years! And started working in the store as a young UC Berkeley student. Seth handles all of the behind-the-scenes business operations and does the book buying for the store (Seth’s true passion is for poetry and literature, which makes for a phenomenal book section). Chloe has been working for the Hall for just under two years now and because of her art background is responsible for bringing in the best, creative mix of thought-provoking toys and gifts as well as handling the visual merchandising of the store.
