I never do Unilocal reviews, but Delux Vapor deserves recognition. The owner, Rick, is extremely knowledgeable about vaping, incredibly friendly and generous. Delux Vapor isn’t like all the other stores that are just capitalizing on the popularity of vaping. Rick clearly is passionate about his store, and making clean, safe ejuice for people to use. I was very impressed within the first minute of entering the store and talking to Rick. If only more businesses operated in this fashion…

I usually don’t take the time to leave reviews but Rick & Delux Vapor impressed me so much that I had to take the time to sign up for a Unilocal account to do so. Rick’s genuine and primary concern from the moment I walked in to the moment I left was making sure I got what I needed, not making a buck off of me He hooked me up with a mod and tank for a ridiculously good price, and threw in a couple samples of his fantastic e-juice for free. It feels awesome when someone genuinely cares about what you need, and Rick just made a lifetime customer out of me. Thanks again man!

I rarely give out 5 star reviews but this shop deserves 10.
Found out about this vape shop after getting tatted next door when they first opened up. Rick was extremely knowledgeable and down to earth, he also has a passion for what he does. I thought this would be another vape shop like all the others but after a few months and visiting again today, I knew it wasn’t a basic shop.
Customer service and knowledge here exceeds all the vape shops I know of in the area and back in Hawaii when I used to live there.
Rick isn’t here to make money off of you he wants to really help you out.
Stopped by today for juice and he walked me through better coil building skills and wicking skills and hooked it up big time.
Rick’s shop just became my go to shop even though it’s tricky finding parking sometimes on University, but it’s definitely worth it!

I figure its time to do an updated review for Delux seeing as how its been quite some time and they definitely deserve the praise…
Going back to the VERY beginning of when I started vaping (which I think is right around 2 years ago now). Delux was the second ever vape store I went to, the first was a shop based in Oakland that I got my first mod from… So essentially the 2^nd time I ever bought anything vape related, it was delux, and delux juice. So I think this was kind of a blessing and a curse in a good way. Because I was started on delux juice when I started vaping, it set the bar really really high…
Fast foward some time and every week to 2 and a half weeks I would order juice from Rick n Jessica over the phone (typically anywhere from $ 30 – 70 dollar order). At one point in time it was the one juice i vaped 100% the most of… It essentially became the GOLD STANDARD in which I compared other juices too (and I think alot of other people feel this way as well).
I hadn’t been in the Delux Vapor store since before November because I was living in the South Bay at the time and could rarely make it up to Berkeley… I just this week finally was able to make it back up to Berkeley and stop in and say hello and pick up some e-juice… It seems like Delux Vapor and BIGTASTYCLOUDS may be going through some type of business shift im not too sure, but it hasn’t at all effected the quality of their products or their commitment to help people in the vaping community (with information+education+KNOWLEDGE!)

Rick is the BOMB. Seriously, this guy will spend as much time with you as necessary to make sure that you leave educated and happy. The products are great and reasonably priced, and with their customer rewards system you definitely end up getting some deals. You really just don’t find this kind of old school customer service often anymore PLUS quality products. They are definitely worth the trip!

Not enough people review POSITIVE things on Unilocal,but when it comes to Delux Vape, there’s no way to even leave a negative review if you tried– they are just that amazing! Jessica, Rick, and John are all extremely knowledgable and very friendly. They remember your name and even remember your fav flavors (which is pretty amazing if you think about how many different people come in every day). I recently moved to Portland and cried to them how no other juice compares to the magic they create, and right then and there Jessica offered to mail me some supplies. You can get equipment and juice at any headshop, but if you’re looking for assistance and info on vaping, good quality, custom juices, and an overall «experience,» then Delux Vape is the shop for you. It’s hard to start a review Delux Vapor because everything about this place is just so dang overwhelming excellent.
Where do you even begin?
Do you start at the fact that they produce the best tasting juices you will ever come across?
Do you start at the low prices that are *significantly* cheaper than any other vape shop (because they make their own products and thus there is no middle-man mark up)?
How about how the staff are all incredibly knowledgeable and friendly and will take their time and walk you through any questions you might have, talking with you without trying to rush you or sell you anything?
Or what about the fact that the man who creates all the juices is behind the counter helping everyone who walks in the door?
What about the open and clean layout of the shop itself and the chill environment?
Did I mention the long menu of flavors that are hands down tastier than any I’ve come across in all my years vaping?
Delux Vapors is exactly what you hope for when it comes to these kinds of small businesses, but it usually so hard to find. Rick, the genius behind their juices, is knowledgeable and friendly and honest, as is Jessica, and both of them are super genuine and cool people.
Do yourself a favor and drop into this shop. You will find amazing juices being sold at the cheapest prices by people who making dropping in a pleasant experience.

I don’t understand how Delux Vapor has five stars, because THEY DESERVE SIX!
I seldom write reviews because its rare for me to find great places with exceptional customer service and meet awesome people during my visit.
This was my second visit. The first visit i called over the phone and spoke with Jessica to help me find a flavor I was interested in. Jessica didn’t just pick up and didn’t just tell me ‘yes, we have that flavor’ and then hang up, unlike a couple other vape shops I’ve called in the bay area. She was very insightful and helped me to really find what it was i was looking for by giving her honest opinion and giving the time to explain their flavors in the shop.
On both visits, in person, I was greeted by Rick. Rick’s passion and methodology in the product he creates is second to none. And he takes his time in trying to help you find the flavor that’s right just for you.
If you’re new to vaping or are a veteran cloud factory, this place is for you.
Very humble.
Best customer service.

Let me just say that Rick is a man of his word! (The flavor was ready the next day)
Never frequented any vape shops but since his shop is located right on University Ave in Berkeley, I am making at least one a trip a week to get some juices.
Definitely worth checking out!

First off, Rick and his team have some of the greatest customer service that I’ve ever encountered!
Upon my first visit I met Rick and he ran me through his methods, his background in chemistry, why he does it, and how he keeps a happy family at the store.
I’ve been looking for a decent vape shop in the area since I moved from the Concord/Clayton area, this is it. If you haven’t taken a visit or are questioning Delux Vapor, quit questioning and get on over.
They’ll sample each and every flavor for you while educating you on the flavor profiles.
Also, if you bring your vape in, they’ll dial it in for you, to perfection.
As long as I find myself living in the East Bay area, Delux Vapor has found themselves another dedicated client in me.

I have met Rick (owner) when he was still working in a vape shop at Hayward. I do remember he was very helpful and help me choose my second mech mod. He did mention me he was leaving there to start his own vape shop. Started following him on Instagram (@bigtastyclouds) and watch his business become a success.
After a couple of years I finally had a chance to visit his shop in Berkeley. Delux Vapor have a good selection of mods here, but it’s the juice the reason you visit this shop. BigTastyClouds juice are unicorn tears; trust me they are that good. I guess one of the reasons I fell of the wagon smoking cigarettes is that the juices I had were crappy. BTC juices are so tasty. Okay, to be subjective, I like BTC juices are so much better because:
–Even if they have tons for berry flavors (one of my faves) you can still distinctively discern one from the other. Other brands, all their berries taste the same.
–Even if you only have crappy Walgreens cotton, it doesn’t really matter because DV juices are full of flavor.
–You don’t really need a lot of lung effort to make clouds;BTC juices are smoky!
Great news is that they ship! Just call the shop and they will ship to your doorstep. BigTastyClouds is one of the best e-juice brands out there in the market.

Awesome place! Go here FIRST before any other place for anything to do with vapors (ie liquid, tanks, etc) — this is THE place.
I made the mistake of going to another place in Berkeley for my first vaporizer. It didn’t work and all they did was upsell other stuff. At Delux — they only sell great equipment and great liquid /juice … and i mean great: the owner Rick knows the stuff inside out and he makes it himself.
Added benefit — they sell at rock bottom prices. People — this shop gives REAL customer service. Bottom line — go here before anywhere else. You’ll realize this when you walk from this shop to any other vape shop in Berkeley (and i’ve been to many of them) — this is the best, selling great products at great prices and with owners and staff who know their stuff and know how to give excellent customer service

As a woman, I can’t begin to tell you how much I hate going into vape shops. I usually hang on the couch while my husband figures out what he’s buying. I almost just stayed in the car when he decided he wanted to go to Delux Vapor for the 1^st time. So glad I didn’t! This place is legit. Rick knows what he is talking about and doesn’t at all come across as cocky. I hate walking into a vape shop and the guys behind the counter are cocky about their ‘knowledge’ (which come to find out is usually inaccurate) making me think to my self why did I even get out of the car? Here at Delux Vape Rick not only know what’s up, he also educates his customers in a really welcoming way.
I am really picky about the juice I vape because about 98% of what’s out there tastes like chemicals to me. Not this time! Not only did I walk out with three 30ml of the best juice (Big Tasty Clouds, made with pride by Rick) I have ever tasted. It was really hard to just pick a few flavors because there wasn’t one that I didn’t like. I also ended up purchasing a whole new mod to smoke my tasty new flavors (Skiwi, Hubba Bubba and Toasty Crunch) I will definitely spread the word to my fellow vapers that Delux Vape not only has great customer service but with out a doubt has the best juice out there hands down!

I drive from Antioch it’s Always worth it good convo’s with Rick learned alot from him had no clue about vaping at first I just knew I had to quit smoking after 21 years. I’ve been to smoke shops in my area which really didn’t help at all they just tried to push product and get a quick sale. I’m still a lil ignorant in certain area’s but that’s the good thing about my buddy Rick always willing to educate and answer question’s I have. I suggest if your on the fence about vaping give it a shot and talk to Rick he can set you up for your wants and needs. whether it’s trying to quite smoking or just trying to blow big tasty cloud’s he has your best interest’s in mind. I know I could have big tasty cloud’s E liquid shipped to me no problem but it’s cool to hang out have fun and learn something at the same time. Good people great atmosphere

Now I don’t vape, but my boyfriend is getting into it to help him quit smoking, and I’ve been to a few vape shops with him recently. This place really puts others to shame in a lot of ways and boyfriend is a convert to Delux Vapor.
Walking in, the place is pretty unassuming. A lot of vape shops feel kind of clubby, which can be fun. We went to one in San Jose that had beer and was a friendly and vibey atmosphere where you felt like you wanted to hang out and play video games for a few hours on a Saturday night. This place is more about business, but the simplicity is refreshing — vape culture can sometimes get a little ‘too cool for you.‘
Rick, the owner and chemist, is just fantastic. He’s knowledgeable about the juices he creates and he explains things in a way that the layman can understand. He’s never condescending and he’s passionate at a level I’ve seen in very few people in any industry. He merged his chemistry knowledge with a legitimate passion for helping people quit smoking WITHOUT transferring that addiction to something else like sugar (commonly in other juices). He makes juice that smells great (and tastes great, I can say the Skit-lz or (something like that) really does taste like a handful of skittles, and that’s saying a lot coming from someone like me who knows her candy and more important doesn’t ever vape.
Boyfriend and I stopped in on a Sunday early afternoon just for a new coil and walked out with a lot more — he even said he would feel bad going anywhere else now since Rick was so fantastic. This is definitely his new go-to for all things vape-related.
