History

Established in 2003.

Since 2003 DeFauw Design & Fabrication has provided residential, commercial, institutional and building industry clients with products ranging from ornamental architectural metalwork to complete furniture sets, from structural steel elements to lighting fixtures. The principal, Henry DeFauw, applies his extensive experience designing and building in many fields with use of a wide variety of materials and fabrication techniques. He has built a team of designers and craftspeople carefully sought out to compliment his vision and effort. The firm’s aim is to provide items that reflect its commitment to clever and durable problem solving, resourceful and thoughtful use of materials, craftsmanship of the highest caliber possible– all with careful attention to client needs.

Business Owner

Henry DeFauw created DeFauw Design and Fabrication in 2003 after two decades in architectural design & fabrication, industrial design, art handling and archiving, furniture making, automotive restoration, custom cabinetry, commercial illustration and graphic design. He received a Bachelor of Fine Arts from CCS (Center for Creative Studies) in Detroit in 1992. He also is a sculptor and has shown his work in New York, Detroit, San Francisco and Italy since 1994.
