DeCadence A Cappella

DeCadence is comprised of a group of college students who have so much energy and passion for performing. I have had the pleasure to attend several of their recent concerts, and I’ve greatly enjoyed their solid harmonies, choreography, and the soul they put into their performance.
Earlier this year, DeCadence placed 1^st at the International Championships of Collegiate A Cappella (ICCA) Quarterfinals, which speaks to their professionalism. Congrats to all the members who made this possible! Their performance was outstanding (available for viewing on YouTube). And while DeCadence can be a serious group capable of scattering the competition, it is also a fun and quirky group. Their shows, while revolving around their a cappella arrangements, also include a skit with an overarching theme and mad-​libs for audience participation!
Disclaimer: I did perform with this a cappella group in 2002 during my time at CAL. However I do not have any connection to the current members, so I am viewing this group and its performances from an objective perspective.
TIP: Go watch a DeCadence show at Sproul in between classes and catch an end-​of-​semester show. They are hilarious and brilliant to watch (and listen to)!
