I worked with David for a rather short time, and plan to continue with him again, once my schedule permits. But I feel compelled to write about him, in case anyone out there comes across his name and wants to know if he’s worth the trouble or not. I suffer from anxiety, ADD, and moderate depression, which all affect my relationships with people. Especially the anxiety. I have worked with many therapists and starting over — finding a new therapist — can be tough, to say the least. There are so many options out there it’s ridiculous. Of course, it goes without saying that what works for some doesn’t always work for others… but what I can tell you is, I have become a much more stable, loving person since I began working with David just five months ago. My relationships have eased and improved tremendously. The intimacy is coming back! And I don’t mean sexual intimacy, I mean real soul-to-soul, respectful, natural intimacy. His approach is gentle, patient, and sincere. I won’t give everything away because I feel like his process is intentionally gradual but, I will tell you that his process is powerful in large part because of his focus on you in the moment… he guides(not instructs) one to learn how to check in with one’s self… to be mindful and present in the moment. The man is an angel of some sorts. Really. I have never felt so heard/listened to before in my entire life, and I have such great respect for him and his work. He is truly remarkable and I would recommend him to Pope Francis if he ever needed someone besides God to talk to. Really. Good luck in your search. You can do it.
