Darin David has been cutting and styling my hair for the past 10 years. I love my haircuts. I think he’s a very talented stylist. My hair is wavy, somewhat curly and his cuts grab my curl and contour to my face so well that i literally have no bad hair days for at least two months. My husband who also has curly hair has been a client of his for 15 years. I highly recommend him.

Darin David is an incredible stylist– a shear genius with wavy curly hair, (mine), but I’d bet a lot of money he’s good with every kind of hair. A real master at what he does.
I went there on a whim, and was extremely lucky to have Darin. He turned my crazy, out of control curly long blond hair into beautiful, bouncy, soft, natural curls, with JUST A PAIR OF SCISSORS! It is remarkable the magic he performs on hair. He is extremely courteous, and has an amazing intuitive sense with hair. I felt he really wanted to do his best. I came in in between cuts to see if I could get a bang trim, and he said he’d do it for free. Not only did he trim my bangs, but when I left, it felt like a WHOLE NEW HAIRCUT! My hair looks AMAZING, the shape is completely different. I gave him a $ 15 because I felt it was so nice of him to offer a freebie, and to also do an amazing job again.

I went to Camilla a while back when she only charged $ 30 for a haircut and I couldn’t have found a better deal. My cuts were all great and I was happy. Now this place is too expensive for me!

Octavia Riggs is my stylist. She’s the best! After a lifetime of searching for someone who could figure out my crazy cowlick, I’ve found her and hope she never makes good on her threats to leave the bay area to explore the rest of the world ;-) Also, even though I only see her every 2 months, whenever I come back she totally remembers everything we talked about last time and then the convo picks up as if it never stopped. Also, she gives a great shoulder and scalp massage.

Octavia is my stylist, and she does a fantastic job. She really gets both me and my hair, is detail-​oriented but not too cautious, has great ideas and suggestions, and is really fun to work with. She has a natural sense of style and fashion. People are always asking who does my hair and I’ve referred many people to Octavia.
Recently she also gave me a facial, and it was the most fabulously relaxing, holistic, luxurious facial of my entire life. I’ve already booked the next one!
The salon is nice (though I’m not sure why the walls need to be so yellow) and you can also get massages there, and the Aveda products feel so healthy and good. Recommended!

Comfortable atmosphere, clean and great Aveda products. Alden has cut my hair a few times now and each time I walked out completely satisfied and feeling so refreshed. He’s a fun guy, easy-​going and knows what he’s doing. My hubby gets his hair cut by Camilla, who’s also wonderful. Very detail-​oriented and a good listener. Plenty of salons in that neighborhood to choose from, but I think we’ll stick to this one.

I just happened upon this Salon when I bid on a haircut in a charity silent auction. I was pleased to arrive today to find the salon very nice and relaxing, the music pleasant and the employees very friendly.
I was offered a cup of green tea and treated to a wonderful shampoo by my stylist Camilla. I figured that since it was a freebie sort of thing I would get the minimum treatment but she really took her time and did a great job. She even blew out my rad frizzy mop so that I left with hair as soft, swingy and pretty as a girl in a shampoo commercial.
I was very pleased and I will definitely be back!

A friend just asked me where I get my hair cut, and as I was writing her about Melody at Darin David, I realized that I was long-​overdue in writing a rave-​review for Melody Jones.
Highly recommend. Five stars, easily, six if I could.
Melody does the the kind of hair that is like «I just happened to have really good hair» …like it looks like it’s naturally that way, but you & she know the secret is a really good color and a killer cut. Melody has a really great eye for how to highlight your features & skin coloring with color & cut.
Melody is smart, delightful, & insightful… and her haircuts get better as they grows out (in a good way) (like they start really good & a month later, people will give you compliments).

Melody Jones: Best Hair Stylist for ANY Robot, or Human alike.

This is a really nice and clean place, a relaxing atmosphere. I had a hair cut yesterday by Akilah Lee, and she did a great job. What I asked was a little complicated, tops pretty short and then coming down layer by layer, giving a sort of messy but cute look. She could be faster but maybe it’s better she takes her time :) I would strongly suggest her for layered hair cuts. Plus the price was pretty good for the service you get, I thought, $ 30+tip.
