Carla Falkner creates beautiful murals, graphic designs, and illustration work using only non-​toxic products (Multiple Chemical Sensitivity clients approve!) and ethical methods (no aerosol).

History

Established in 2012.

Carla is passionate about community and the health of the planet. Pouring toxic chemicals down the drain didn’t seem right, so she pledged to only use paints and products that are as safe as possible (without compromise to performance). Knowing a dear friend with MCS (Multiple Chemical Sensitivity) has helped her understand the hidden poisons in the products we use around children, gardens, and our water sources (and ourselves!).

Since the summer of 2012 Carla became a free-​lance artist full time.

She got an art studio in West Berkeley where she works (and plays). Most of her work is on location, so the studio also doubles as material and paint storage.

Networking with local, eco-​friendly businesses and craftsmen in the area has expanded her creative reach beyond expectation.

Knowing she wanted to pursue a career in the arts since childhood, Carla attended Florida School of the Arts and Ringling School of Art and Design, along with other workshops and programs over the years.

The best training, however, is while using art as a healing process to release trapped emotion and create powerful exploration into imagination.
