Greetings families! My name is Bridgid McGrath, and I am happy to offer childcare services to the community here in Berkeley, CA — my hometown. I was born and raised here in Berkeley. I am a graduate of the Evergreen State College, and am currently in my second year studying Early Childhood Education, specializing in Montessori, at St Mary’s. I have over 10 years of experience working with children as young as newborns, up through school-​age children (mostly K-​5), including twins experience. I have four nieces and nephews, a godson who is 13, and a passion for working with children. I hope you will consider me for your childcare needs.

Bridgid is freakin awesome. I gush. She is dedicated, creative, and completely professional throughout. She also has some great earrings that my baby was enthralled with. We’re sad to lose her as our primary child care provider but happy that she’s doing well in her career, (she is leaving us to pursue a teaching position at a Montessori school). My husband has suggested I lock myself and our child around her ankles to keep her from leaving. We might still try that.

Bridgid is clearly the best child caregiver we have ever worked with. She is energetic, creative, engaging, and genuinely loves interacting with the children in her care. Our family has challenged her through the years with active twins, a fussy infant, and high-​energy antics. But she is a true professional and can handle our three children with ease and good humor. She has taught us and our children wonderful techniques for child development that she has learned in her Montessori education. We are fortunate to have found her, and hope to be working with her for many more years.

Bridgid has been our babysitter for about two years. My son is nearing three and loves his time with her. Bridgid brings her knowledge of Montessori teachings and cheery disposition with her every time. Lots of singing, dancing, and no texting! I also appreciate her doing the dishes and full report of activities when I come home. She is a safe and fun option for a babysitter.
