Really expensive service fees.

Was just at the Willie Nelson show at the greek. The man working the merch near the south entrance with the long brown hair was really rude. Not really sure why someone would act like that toward an individual who is getting ready to spend money but oh well that was $ 70 that I kept in my pocket. Customer service goes a long way and he embarrassed himself in front of a good number of people. Just like Willie Nelson would say, «there’s a little old fashioned karma coming around»

When it comes to the Greek Theatre, I know that I am stuck with Another Planet Entertainment for tickets, but WHY do they show me only two tickets in the price range I select, EVEN if I ask to search again? Am I to believe there are only two tickets left in the entire section, and that I am the only one trying to buy tickets over that two-​hour period??? No matter what I did, I was stuck with the same damned seats, way on the side, if I wanted to go to the concert. There were no options for me but to take the two seats they showed the very first time I tried to buy some. I am sure they are withholding seats so they can scalp us later, but surely they had more than two seats available in the mid-​price range, which is God-​knows STILL a lot of money, and they could have showed them to me. I hate this stuff. I would not have bought except that my friend really wanted to attend, but I swear it is the last time I’ll go through this crap with APE.

The TI concert was broadcast at such high levels that residents of the SF waterfront could feel and not just hear the music. Your disregard of of the rights of others is unacceptable.

APE is not worker friendly, they are attempting to bust the union. Please don’t cross the picket lines to attend the Treasure Island music fesival.
Local 16 of the IATSE represents workers in the Entertainment Industry. For years Local 16 and Another Planet Entertainment (APE) have worked out our differences and worked together on events.
In past years APE has signed the Local 16 Project Agreement.
This year, instead of signing the agreement, APE sent Local 16 a 2 page document that left out most of the conditions which Local 16 workers have struggled to establish. They also included a «No Strike, No Lockout» clause that would take away the workers’ right to protest violation of an agreement or mistreatment by the employer.
APE presented this 2 page agreement with a take or leave it addendum, refusing to negotiate with Local 16 over the terms of the agreement.
This action is not only about the money offered by the employer, but also the right of workers to be represented by a union and to have a voice in the conditions of their employment.

I do not see the point in selling seats to a concert and checking tickets if security is just going to let people swarm the stage. They pretended to try and make people return to their seats, but not before letting those who are standing on your feet in your seats, scream and talk smack to your face for simply wanting to have the seat you paid for to yourself. Best part, 2 minutes later, the people are back talking more smack and security sees them return, but does nothing to make them return to the boonies where they paid for seats. A total JOKE of security and a scam if you ask me. It was a Circus. Best part was when we wanted to leave our seats, the security guard told us we could not exit our seats in the direction all of the people without tickets were in. We pushed by and he chased us! Did he chase any of the people who did not have tickets to be in that section? NO! We were LEAVING! What a dumbass, what a joke and I will never attend another one of these APE events again. BTW, we paid for 3^rd row seats and had at least 12 rows of people in front of us because of the mosh pit they let mob the stage. Each seat ended up with 3 people per seat. BS!

Year 2 of Outside Lands was much more of a success logistically than Year 1. They adapted well and that should be acknowledged. 4 stars because they bring good acts to the Bay and the events are fun and creative.

Not impressed. The website does not have enough information regarding the events they are promoting or the venues. The Green Day tickets that went on sale today at 5:00 pm were already being sold by people on Craigslist at noon. When we tried to buy online at 5 pm sharp with our Visa Signature (which was to give you access to special ticket priority), the system hung up for a few minutes and then returned to say all tickets sold out!
Frustrating. Could not even find the ticket sale time on their website, had to find it on Ticketmaster.
Hate the Ape

I don’t really know what it takes to be a good music promoter, but designing a festival that doesn’t suck must be among the criteria. And though they’re all sitting happy and getting rich from selling 60,000+ tickets at over $ 100 each to all of us who just wanted to see Radiohead, we’re all pissed off because the organization, planning, and every other aspect of Outside Lands was total crap.
The fake «green» aspect — a solar powered stage in the Sunset District? Give me a break! I heard the diesel generators running all day. At the end of the day the park looked more like a landfill, and upset concert-​goers completely trampled any fenced-​off part of the park they could get their feet on to overcome the double-​whammy of stages spread far apart and too many bands with very little time in between sets.
Ah, the best part? Well, despite the fact that we lukcy San Franciscans paid more than anyone else in the country to see Radiohead, their stage time was strictly limited and they played 3 songs fewer than normal. Oh, make that 5, since the sound cut off completely at two separate occasions on the main stage. Maybe hiring good sound guys is also part of being a good promoter (sound was kinda crap on top of all that, but I suppose that’s to be expected at such a festival).
So here’s to hoping that these guys will take their mega-​profits and run off to Bermuda so we don’t have to suffer through this again.

Hands down, the BEST Music Promotions Company in the bay area!
Period.
Booking some of the top venues in the bay area such as The Greek, The Independent and soon to come, The Fox Theater (to name a few).
Oh, and don’t forget the Treasure Island Festival last September. Keep your eyes open, more exciting events to come!
