Brookside Manor

I wish we were there for more than just one evening, but we will definitely be back. The inn keeper Roger is absolutely charming. The accommodations were impeccable. I was amazed at the absolute cleanliness and attention to detail throughout the inn. The room was very comfortable and the bed luxurious. The private bathroom was beautiful and pristine! Something uniques is that you have full use of the house. Everything was so well appointed and Rodger made every effort to see to it that you wanted for nothing. The grounds are beautiful and I can’t wait to return in the spring to sit out back on the patio by the stream! Love it! Can you tell? I can’t wait to go back!

We just returned from a lovely stay at brookside manor. It was clean and comfortable. We stayed in the Washington
Suite. There was street noise, but a white noise machine is provided if you are a light sleeper. The innkeeper was welcoming, informative and made a great breakfast! Our plans changed and we had to leave quite early this morning. The innkeeper still got up and made breakfast before we left. I highly recommend this b&b.

Excellent choice for us! So close to everything. You don’t even have to cross the street to go to the park! Beautiful spacious house! Roger was so helpful with suggesting where to eat and what was close by. We had THE BEST BREAKFAST DISH I’ve ever tasted in my life! And I love my breakfast dishes! He even shared the recipe with me! Our room, The Washington Suite, was beautiful, with a private bath that had a luxury tub with jets which my son enjoyed. Mattresses are a little too soft for my taste, but that’s just me. I still slept like a baby. A cute little town. Lovely property. Highly recommend!

This is a great B&B close to the main part of town. It is right next door to the main hotel, and two blocks to the state park. One more block to the main shopping area. and two blocks from Lot 12 resThe only problem about the location is that it is very close to the main road through town and there was some noise from trucks breaking for the nearby stoplight. But I consider myself a very light sleeper, so the average person will probably not have issues with this.
The place is very clean and comfortable. I stayed in the Rumsey Suite. The bathrooms are modern and have fantastic jetted tubs. The bed was very comfortable. My room had a white noise machine, ceiling fan, a large closet, free wi-​fi, and even electric candles for a romantic touch.
They offer a continental breakfast with a lot of options and a Keurig machine for coffee. There is a nice patio out back overlooking the brook. Parking is easy, free and right outside. The innkeeper was very nice and friendly — happy to chat and answer questions about the area — but did not impose on the guests.
The décor is cleaner and simpler than most B&Bs, which was a huge draw for me! I don’t like rooms full of creepy dolls and tons of old lace. I would recommend this location. The back room with the two twin beds probably has the best view.

We stayed at Brookside Manor for Memorial Day weekend, 2011. We reserved the Rumsey Suite – a large bedroom and bath that featured a large jetted tub. Fresh berries were in season, and Roger – the innkeeper – had prepared them for breakfast along with many other goodies. The Manor is only steps from the hot springs, restaurants, a farmer’s market, and art & craft stores. Roger recommended several of the best restaurants: «Lot 12» and Tari’s, and these didn’t disappoint. We spent a lot of time on trails at parks, and the air conditioning at the Manor was very welcome. We spent time for two evenings on the patio at the rear of the Manor, enjoying conversation and sipping the wine we brought. Housekeeping was immaculate.
